Southpaw Dakota Herman comes to Rutgers-Camden after playing two seasons at NAIA William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. A southpaw from Oxnard, California, who attended high school in Colorado, Herman is a graduate student at Rutgers-Camden who is pursuing his MBA. He has junior athletic eligibility.

Pre-Rutgers: Pitched two seasons at William Penn University in 2016 and 2017…Compiled an overall mark of 5-3 with a 4.25 ERA in 72 innings, allowing 82 hits while walking 46 and striking out 55…Pitched in 18 games, starting 10 and hurling one complete game…As a freshman in 2016, went 2-2 with a 3.80 ERA in 10 games (seven starts), including a complete game…Walked 28 and struck out 32…During his sophomore season, posted a 3-1 record in eight games (three starts), covering 27 innings…Walked 18 and struck out 23.
