Biography

A member of the Scarlet Raptors’ baseball program since 2017, Daniel Beebe has fought numerous injuries to appear in 21 games, including 20 on the mound and one as a pinch runner. He owns a 2-6 career record in 43.1 innings, while collecting two saves.
 
A Dean’s List student, Beebe has earned several academic honors at Rutgers-Camden.
 
Academics: ECAC Academic Honor Roll for the 2018 Spring semester…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2017 Fall, 2018 Spring, 2018 Fall, 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring semesters…Dean’s List student.
 
Baseball 2021: Returned to the mound after missing the 2020 season, but only appeared in one game on the mound before being injured again, making a start against William Paterson (April 3, Game One) and taking the loss in an 18-7 contest…Worked two innings, allowing five hits, six walks and six runs (five earned)…Finished his brief season on the mound with a 22.50 ERA…Also scored a run as a pinch runner against William Paterson (May 7, Game Two) in a New Jersey Athletic Conference playoff game.
 
Baseball 2020: Injured, did not play.
 
Baseball 2019: Appeared in seven games, including six in relief…Hurled 17.1 innings, allowing only nine hits and six walks, while striking out 20…Posted a 1-3 record and one save…Held opponents to a .161 batting average…Worked 1-1/3 innings and took the loss in his first game of the season against Cortland (March 2), allowing one earned run, two hits and one walk, while striking out one…Earned the win in a 6-5 victory over Springfield (March 17), working three shutout, hitless innings while walking one and striking out five…Worked one scoreless inning, allowing one hit and one walk, while striking out two against Anderson (March 19)…Worked 1-1/3 hitless, scoreless innings against Benedictine (March 21), striking out two…Earned a save in a 3-0 win over Keystone College (March 26), working three shutout innings, allowing one hit and one walk, while fanning five…Took the loss in his last two appearances against William Paterson University (March 30) and Rutgers-Newark (April 8), despite allowing only one earned run in each outing…Against Paterson, worked his season high of 4-1/3 innings, allowing two hits and two walks, while striking out four…In the Rutgers-Newark game, allowed three hits in 3-1/3 innings, while striking out one.
 
Baseball 2018: Appeared in 11 games, tied for the second-highest total on the pitching staff…Started one game…Went 1-2 with one save and a .450 ERA…Held opponents to a .244 batting average…In 22 innings, allowed 21 hits and 17 runs, only 11 earned…Walked 12 and struck out 25…Was in line for his first career save against Beloit College (March 12), but a pair of ninth-inning errors led to a pair of unearned runs and saddled him with a 6-5 loss in a game where he worked two innings…Earned his first career win with three innings out of the bullpen against FDU-Florham (March 27), allowing three hits, one walk and one earned run, while striking out four in an eventual 15-8 Raptor victory…Earned his first save with two innings of one-hit shutout ball, walking one and striking out three in a 4-1 win over William Paterson (March 31)…Made lone start against Stevens Institute of Technology (April 8), working three innings and allowing three hits, three walks and three earned runs, while striking out four in the Raptors’ 11-4 win…Suffered his second loss against Montclair State (April 21, Game 1), working 2-1/3 innings and allowing seven runs, only three of them earned, in an 8-1 defeat…Overall, hurled scoreless ball in five of his 11 outings and didn’t allow an earned run in six of his games.
 
Baseball 2017:  Pitched in one game, making his collegiate debut with two innings of relief work against Endicott College (March 14)…Allowed three hits and two earned runs, while striking out two to compile a 9.00 season ERA...Notched one assist for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage…Missed the remainder of the season with an injury and was granted a medical hardship waiver.
 
High School: Attended Eastern Regional High School, graduating in 2016…Captured one varsity baseball letter as a senior for Coach Rob Christ…Earned All-Conference Second Team and All-South Jersey Second Team honors…Elected to play in the Camden County All-Star Game.
 
Personal: Born August 14, 1998…Nicknamed “Beebs” or “Beebe”…Enjoys staying active, golfing fishing, hiking, playing chess and working out…Liberal Studies major at Rutgers-Camden…Plans to “live out the baseball dream, start my own business and have a big family”…Dan is the son of Tricina and Matthew Beebe of Berlin.
