A two-way player who appeared in games on the mound and as a designated hitter and pinch hitter during his rookie season, Danny Torres Jr. added academic honors as a freshman at Rutgers-Camden. He missed the 2025 season with an injury.

Baseball 2024: Played in 14 games, including eight as a pitcher…Made three starts on the mound, posting a 1-1 record and a 4.50 ERA in 20 innings…Allowed 23 hits and 16 runs (10 earned)…Walked 11, hit one batter and struck out one…Offensively, went 1-for-4 and also walked twice, posting a .250 batting average and a .500 on-base percentage…Had eight assists and helped turn one double play, recording a 1.000 fielding percentage…Made his collegiate debut against Gwynedd Mercy (Feb. 27), flying out as a pinch hitter against Gwynedd Mercy (Feb. 27)…In a doubleheader against Rosemont on March 3, pinch hit and singled up the middle in the sixth inning on the opening game for his first collegiate hit…In the nightcap of that doubleheader, pitched a perfect sixth inning in his first collegiate mound outing…Started and worked three innings against York (March 7), suffering the loss despite only allowing one earned run out of the five charged against him…Allowed five hits and two walks in that game, while notching his first collegiate strikeout…Worked a season high of six innings in a start against UMass-Dartmouth (March 14), earning his first win in an 8-2 Scarlet Raptor victory, while hurling three-hit shutout ball, walking one and striking out four…Also had his season high of four assists in that game…Allowed four runs (three earned), five hits and four walks in a three-inning start against The College of New Jersey (April 7), striking out one in an 11-4 Raptor win…Allowed two hits in a scoreless inning against Rowan (April 11)…Worked 3-2/3 innings of relief in the Raptors’ 9-8 win over Alvernia (April 16), allowing six hits, five runs (four earned) and two walks, while fanning two…Allowed one hit and one earned run, walking one and striking out two, during a two-inning relief stint against William Paterson (April 27, Game Two).
