Rutgers-Camden Athletics

After missing a year due to injuries, John Ormsby IV made his Rutgers-Camden debut during the 2025 season, working mainly as the Scarlet Raptors’ fifth starter. A transfer from the University of Virginia, Ormsby was sidelined by injuries during his first season at Rutgers-Camden in 2024.

Baseball 2025: Appeared in six games, including five starts and one relief appearance…Worked 21 innings, allowing 15 hits and 14 runs (12 earned)…Posted a 1-2 record and a 5.14 ERA…Walked 22, hit four and struck out 18…Held opponents to a .217 batting average…Held opponents scoreless over his first three appearances, covering 9.1 innings…Hurled 1.1 relief innings with one walk and two strikeouts in his Raptor debut against Rosemont (March 12)…Made his first start and worked three scoreless innings against Babson (March 19), allowing two walks and striking out four…Collected his first Rutgers-Camden win with five shutout innings in a 6-0 win over Ursinus (March 26), allowing three hits, walking five and striking out five…Worked 5.2 innings in a start at The College of New Jersey (April 3), allowing two hits, seven walks and two runs (one earned), while striking out seven…Suffered the loss in a four-inning start against Rowan, allowing eight hits, two walks and six earned runs…Worked two innings, allowing two hits, five walks and six runs (five earned) in a loss to Stockton (April 17).
