At some point during his senior season in 2016, Kyle Gaff should become the all-time saves leader in Rutgers-Camden baseball history. Gaff, who didn’t even start pitching at Rutgers-Camden until his sophomore season, has blossomed into one of the top closers in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and brings 11 career saves into his senior season. The career mark of 13 was set by Matt Novella (2001-2005).
Â
Gaff has worked 47.2 innings in 28 relief appearances during his Scarlet Raptor career, posting a 1-4 record with 11 saves, while holding opponents to a .226 batting average. Including his time as a position player, he has played in 40 games at Rutgers-Camden.
Â
A fine student as well, Gaff was a member of Rutgers-Camden’s inaugural Athletic Director’s Honor Roll during the Fall 2015 semester.
