Biography

Mike Paciocco showed a glimpse of his talent and potential during late-season action during his freshman year at Rutgers-Camden. Paciocco captured recognition as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on May 7 after going 5-for-11 (.455) in his first three collegiate starts at third base.
 
A two-way talent who saw action as a pitcher and a first baseman during his 11 games, Paciocco returns for his second season with the Scarlet Raptors this spring.
 
Baseball 2018: Played in 11 total games, making five starts and hitting .357 (5-for-14)…Had one double and one RBI…Compiled a .429 slugging percentage and a .438 on-base percentage, aided by his one walk and one HBP…Pitched in four games, making one start…Compiled a 7.71 ERA and a 0-0 record over seven innings, allowing nine hits, six hits and eight runs (six earned)…Had eight strikeouts…Named New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on May 7…Made his collegiate debut as a defensive replacement at first base at Stevenson University (March 4), collecting three putouts…Made his collegiate pitching debut by working three innings in relief against Knox College (March 16), allowing three hits, one walk and two earned runs, while striking out four…Started his lone game on the mound at Neumann University (April 18), working 2-2/3 innings with two strikeouts, while allowing four hits, three walks and three earned runs…Threw one scoreless inning with one strikeout at Kean University (April 29), with only one Cougar reaching base on an error…Started his first game at third base at York College of Pennsylvania (May 2), going 3-for-4 with one walk, one stolen base and his first collegiate RBI on a sixth-inning single…Added one putout and three assists in that game…Started his first NJAC game as a third baseman against The College of New Jersey, going 1-for-4 with three putouts in the Scarlet Raptors’ 3-1 playoff win May 4…Added three putouts in the game…Went 1-for-3, hitting his first collegiate double, in a NJAC playoff game at Kean University (May 5), while starting at third base and notching one putout and one assist.
 
High School: Four-year varsity baseball letterman at Deptford High School for Coach Tony Leone…Also earned three varsity basketball letters for the Spartans…Captured two All-Conference First Team honors and an All-Conference Second Team honor in baseball…Graduated in 2017.
