Vince Sturtevant returns for the final season of his four-year Rutgers-Camden baseball career after leading the Scarlet Raptor staff with 12 appearances and picking up his first collegiate save to tie for the club lead. He also went 4-0 in relief to post his first collegiate victories.

In 17 career relief appearances, covering 39 innings, Sturtevant is 4-0 with a 5.77 ERA, 11 walks and 26 strikeouts. He owns one save and has allowed 43 hits.

Baseball 2018: Emerged as one of the Scarlet Raptors’ most reliable bullpen arms, working a team-leading 12 games…In 32 innings, allowed 30 hits, eight walks and 21 strikeouts…Compiled a 4-0 record, one save and a 3.66 ERA…Earned his first collegiate save in his fourth appearance of the season, with 3-2/3 innings of one-hit, shutout ball at Rutgers-Newark (April 7, Game One), while walking one and striking out two…Pitched five no-hit, shutout innings in relief, striking out six without a walk, to earn his first collegiate win during a 6-2 victory over DeSales University (April 10)…Worked 3-1/3 innings of five-hit ball in the nightcap of a doubleheader at Ramapo College (April 14), allowing just one walk and one earned run…Had two walks and one strikeout, while allowing three hits and one earned run in 3-1/3 innings at Neumann University, picking up his second career win on April 18…Beat Montclair State (April 21, Game Two) in relief with four innings of three-hit ball in a 7-5 win…Allowed two runs, only one earned, in his outing…Hurled one-hit, shutout ball over 3-1/3 innings and earned the win against Moravian College (April 24), striking out four without a walk.

Baseball 2017: Appeared in four games in relief, working 6-2/3 innings and compiling a deceptive 9.45 ERA…Allowed eight runs, seven earned, with six of those runs coming in his final appearance, a 2-1/3-inning stint against Misericordia University (April 30)...Had one walk and five strikeouts for the season…Prior to his last outing, had a 2.08 ERA…Hurled a scoreless inning, allowing one hit and one walk, while striking out two, against Trinity College (March 16)…Had 1-1/3 scoreless innings against Rutgers-Newark (April 8, Game Two), allowing two hits and striking out one…Allowed two runs (only one earned) and three hits in two innings of relief against Ramapo College (April 15, Game Two), striking out one…Compiled a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with one assist in the Ramapo game and one putout against Misericordia.
