One of the top players in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, Cameron Downs has captured numerous NJAC honors while scoring 796 points in his first two years at Rutgers-Camden. With 204 more points, he will become the 15th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point milestone.
Downs has started all 48 of his games with the Scarlet Raptors, while averaging 16.6 points and 5.8 rebounds. His scoring average is the eight-highest career mark among all Rutgers-Camden players with a minimum of 35 games.
A stellar shooter from the foul line, Downs is 192-for-250 in his Scarlet Raptor career from the charity stripe for a .768 percentage. With 58 more successful foul shots, he will reach the minimum of 250 to qualify for NCAA career statistics. At his current pace, he would become the program’s all-time leader in free throw percentage.
