A two-year basketball star for the Scarlet Raptors during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons, Shawn Greene returns to the Scarlet Raptors’ staff as an assistant coach for his second season.
 
Greene averaged 8.4 points during his 33-game Rutgers-Camden career after coming to the Scarlet Raptors as a transfer from Camden County College. He was an All-Region 19 Third Team player with the Cougars.
 
In his first year at Rutgers-Camden, finished second on the squad in scoring (9.4 ppg) and steals (27), while leading the team with 43 three-pointers (in 114 attempts). He shot .377 from three-point range and .389 overall from the floor (79-for-203). He also shot .686 (24-for-35) from the foul line while starting 22 of his 24 games. Greene hit four or more treys on five occasions, including a 6-for-7 performance against St. Joseph’s College-Brooklyn (Dec. 7, 2009) which tied for the eighth-highest single-game number of treys in program history and was only two shy of the record.
 
Greene’s biggest game came against Rowan University on Jan. 27, 2010, when he scored 22 points.
 
Injured during his senior season, Greene was limited to only nine games (six starts), averaging 5.8 points.
 
Greene played his high school basketball at Lenape, where he lettered for Coach Bill Lange, and captained the team during his senior season (2004-05). An All-Olympic Conference American Division Second Team player, he also was a member of Lenape’s Group 4 state championship squad during the 2003-04 season.
 
Greene graduated from Rutgers-Camden in 2011 with a degree in Business Administration.
