Former Rutgers-Camden and Caldwell University star Wyatt Polk returned to the Scarlet Raptors during the 2019-20 season as an assistant coach. He will return this winter for his third season as an assistant coach.
 
Polk played his first three collegiate years at Caldwell from the 2011-2012 campaign through the 2013-2014 season. A three-year starter, he scored 989 points in 79 career games (11.9 ppg) and added 348 rebounds (4.4 rpg), 93 assists, 84 steals and 17 blocked shots. He was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week as a sophomore (Dec. 18, 2012) after a 33-point performance against Felician, becoming only the eighth player in program history to record two or more 30-point games in his career. He also scored 33 against Nyack as a freshman (Jan. 24, 2012).
 
Polk capped his collegiate career with a stellar senior season at Rutgers-Camden in 2014-15, leading the Scarlet Raptors to a 14-12 record and an ECAC quarterfinal berth, marking the first post-season game for the men’s basketball team since it became a NCAA program. Polk averaged 22.2 pints and 4.9 points for the Scarlet Raptors. He earned New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team honors, was named to the D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region Second Team and the NABC Division III All-Atlantic District Second Team, while adding ECAC Division III Metro Second Team honors. Named Rutgers-Camden’s team MVP, he was a member of the Louis Fleming Basinger All-Tournament Team (Dec. 29-30 at Lycoming College) and a two-time NJAC Player of the Week (Dec. 8 and Jan. 5).
 
For his combined four-year collegiate career, Polk scored 1,404 points and added 451 rebounds in his 100 games. He added 121 assists, 127 steals and 18 blocked shots.
 
A four-year basketball star at Haddonfield Memorial High School, he scored 1,801 points for the Bulldawgs, earning three all-conference honors and leading Haddonfield to a conference championship as a senior.
 
Polk has remained active in basketball coaching over the years, working with the Philadelphia 76ers Summer Camps and the Haddonfield Youth Basketball Association.
 
A Psychology major at Rutgers-Camden, he graduated from the school in December, 2015. He is continuing his education as a Biology major at Rowan College at Burlington County, where he is a Dean’s List student.
 
Since graduating from Rutgers-Camden, Polk has worked as a Lead Research Assistant at Rowan College at Burlington County and a Physical Therapy Aide/Technician at Richard Romash Physical Therapy in Haddonfield. His current position is with MedForce/Biogen Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Project Coordinator.
