Biography

A two-time New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, Elijah Robles had a phenomenal freshman season for the Rutgers- Camden men’s basketball program during the 2015-16 campaign. He returns for his sophomore season this winter.
 
Robles made his collegiate athletic debut by running in one cross country invitational for the Scarlet Raptors during the 2015 fall semester.
 
Basketball 2015-16: Played in 24 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 25 games, starting 19…Led the team in scoring (11.1 ppg) and assists (68)…Averaged 3.8 rebounds…Had 13 steals and three blocked shots…Shot .390 from the floor (98-for-251), including 12-for-58 (.207) from three-point range…Hit 59 of 100 foul shots (.590)…Named NJAC Rookie of the Week on December 21 and February 8…Hit the game-winning field goal with five seconds remaining to help the Raptors edge Rowan University, 71-70, on Dec. 2…Scored in double figures on 14 occasions, including nine straight from Jan. 25-Feb. 13…Had a pair of 20-point games, including a high of 24 against Montclair State University (Jan. 9) in which he shot 8-for-13 from the floor, including a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point range, and 3-for-4 from the foul line…Added five rebounds and two assists in that Montclair State game…Notched his first 20-point game with 22 markers at The College of New Jersey (Nov. 24), shooting 9-for-15 from the floor and 4-for-8 from the line, while adding four rebounds, four steals and three assists…Made his collegiate basketball debut at Penn State-Harrisburg in the season opener (Nov. 14), scoring nine points and adding one rebound, one assist and one steal…Made his first start against Rowan University (Dec. 2), establishing his season high of nine rebounds and collecting 16 points, including the game-winning field goal…Also added his first of five five-assist games in the Rowan contest…Added five-assist games against William Paterson University (Dec. 19), New Jersey City University (Jan. 13), Lehman College (Jan. 25) and Ramapo College (Feb. 13)…In his second meeting against Rowan (Jan. 27), scored 18 points and added four rebounds and two assists…Had 18 points, seven boards and two assists at William Paterson University (Feb. 1)…Scored 16 points against Montclair State University (Feb. 6)…Had 19 points, two steals and tied his season rebounding high of nine in a 70-67 win at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (Feb. 8).
 
Cross Country 2015: Ran at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Invitational (Oct. 10), posting a 45:32.1 clocking in the 8K race…Finished sixth on the Raptors and 125th of 133 overall.
 
High School: Earned three varsity basketball letters for Coach Michael Rivera at Clifton High School, graduating in 2014…As a senior, captured Second Team All-County and First Team All-Division Big North Conference…All-New Jersey Boys Basketball Team Honorable Mention…Team Captain and Most Valuable Player…2014 Garden State Hoops Passaic County Players’ Watch List…Participated in the Coaches vs. Cancer Pre-Season All-Star Game…2014 MVP of the Bloomfield High School Summer League…As a junior in 2013, earned Second Team All-County and All-Division Big North Conference Honorable Mention…First Team Blue and Gold Christmas Tournament….Principal’s List three straight years.
