Biography

Isaac Destin capped his outstanding collegiate basketball career with a terrific senior season, earning All-Conference First Team and All-Atlantic Region Third Team honors after a highlight-filled campaign, which included a career-high 40-point game on the way to finishing with 501 points, the 11th-best single-season mark in program history.
 
Destin, who joined the career 1,000-point club as a senior, closed his career with 1,302 points, sixth on the program’s all-time list. He also finished third in career blocks (68), fourth in field goal percentage (.548), fifth in rebounds (604), sixth in field goals (523), eighth in free throws (254), 12th in rebounds per game (6.9) and 14th in points per game (14.8). In 88 career games (77 starts), he compiled 18 double-doubles, while earning two all-conference recognitions, three all-conference weekly honors and six Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week awards.
 
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and a Dean’s List student for the 2020 Spring semester…One of 47 athletes on the 171-member 2020 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a 4.0 GPA.
 
Basketball 2019-20: New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team…D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region Third Team…NJAC Player of the Week Nov. 11…Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week Nov. 11, Nov. 25 and Jan. 13…Started all 25 games…Led team in scoring (20.0 ppg), rebounding (8.9 rpg) and blocks shots (25)…Added 35 assists and 34 steals…Shot 193-for-331 for a .583 percentage, the fifth-highest single-season field goal percentage in program history for all players with a minimum of 100 attempts…Scored 501 points, the 11th-highest single-season mark in program history….His 20.0 scoring average ranks 15th on the single-season program list…His 193 total field goals were the 10th-highest single-season mark in program history…Notched 10 double-doubles…Scored in double figures in 22 of his 25 games, including 14 games with 20 or more points…Shot 14-for-23 from the floor and 12-for-14 from the foul line at Kean (Feb. 1) to become only the 12th player in program history with a 40-point game…His 40 points were only six points shy of the single-game program record…In terms of the conference, he led the NJAC in overall rebounding (8.9 rpg) and in NJAC-only rebounding (9.0 rpg)…Was second in the NJAC in overall scoring (20.0 ppg) and in NJAC-only scoring (19.8)…Also finished among the leaders in NJAC-only games in defensive rebounds (6.1 per game, second), offensive rebounds (2.9, third), blocks (1.2, tied for third) and field goal percentage (.576, fourth)…Shot 14-for-17 from the floor on his way to 33 points against Rosemont (Nov. 10), while adding 12 rebounds for his first double-double of the season…Added 24 points against John Jay (Nov. 13) before notching another double-double against City College of New York (Nov. 23) with 28 points and a career-high 17 rebounds…Also had 29 points against The College of New Jersey (Feb. 5, adding 13 rebounds for a double-double) and 28 points and 13 boards against Kean (Dec. 14)…Had his season high of three blocks against Rutgers-Newark (Jan. 11)…Closed his career with 26 points and 10 rebounds against Montclair State (Feb. 19)…Collected a career-high six assists against Baruch (Dec. 9), while adding 17 points and 11 rebounds in a double-double.
 
Basketball 2017-18: Played in 15 games, starting 14…Averaged 16.3 points and 7.8 rebounds…Shot .584 (104-for-178) from the floor and .667 (36-for-54) from the foul line…Added 12 assists, 17 steals and 20 blocked shots…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week Dec. 18…Named to the Scotty Wood All-Tournament Team (Nov. 17-18) at Muhlenberg College…Collected a pair of double-doubles, with 17 points and 10 rebounds at Neumann University (Nov. 15) and 32 points and 10 rebounds at Kean University (Jan. 6)…Collected double-digit points in 11 games, including his career high of 32 in the Kean game, when he shot 14-for-16 from the floor…Also scored 26 points against City College of New York (Dec. 11) and had 25-point games against both New Jersey City University (Dec. 2, shooting 12-for-16 from the floor to tie his career high at that time) and William Paterson University (Jan. 13, with a 10-for-12 performance from the floor)…His 14 rebounds against Rutgers-Newark (Dec. 9) set a career high and was one of three double-digit rebound games during the season, including 10 against Neumann (Nov. 15) and 13 against Kean (Jan. 6)…Collected a career-high six blocked shots against Stockton University (Dec. 6), while adding nine points and nine rebounds…Nearly had another double-double in a game against Rowan University (Nov. 29) when he scored 17 points and added nine boards…Added another nine rebounds to his 26-point effort against City College of New York (Dec. 11)…Notched double-digits in scoring for five straight games from Dec. 11-Jan. 6, averaging 20.6 points during that stretch.

Cross Country 2015: Made his collegiate athletic debut at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Invitational (Oct. 10)…Finished fifth on the Raptors and 124th of 133 runners overall, posting an 8K time of 44:41.0.
