Biography
Owen Denton is hoping his third year at Rutgers-Camden will be the injury-free charm.
A junior academically who has sophomore eligibility for basketball, Denton made his collegiate debut playing in three games for the 2023-24 Rutgers-Camden men’s basketball team before suffering an injury that sidelined him for the rest of the season. He also missed the entire 2024-25 campaign with injuries.
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2024 Spring semester.
Basketball 2024-25: Injured, did not play.
Basketball 2023-24: Appeared in three games…Made his Raptor debut playing two minutes against Stockton (Nov. 29)…Also saw action against Montclair State (Dec. 2) and with his high of four minutes against Rutgers-Newark (Dec. 9).
High School: Three-year varsity basketball letterman at Williamstown High School for Coach Tom Sheridan…All-Conference Second Team player as a senior…Varsity captain as a junior and a senior…Also played football during his freshman year…National Honor Society as a junior and a senior…Four-time Student of the Month…Graduated in 2023.
Club Team: Olympus (AAU captain)
Personal: Born January 5, 2005…Enjoys “anything to do with sports, working out, hanging out with family and friends, and working on my game”…Business major at Rutgers-Camden who is a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee...Plans to continue playing basketball for as long as possible and then pursue a career in business…Owen is the son of Leslie Borkowski and Stephen Denton of Williamstown.
