Biography
Teon Russell enters the senior season of his illustrious Rutgers-Camden career, poised to join the elite 1,000-point club and etch his name near the top of numerous program career lists. In only 56 career games, Russell has collected 21 double-doubles, scored 810 points and hauled down 483 rebounds. He currently ranks second on the program’s all-time list for rebounding average (8.6 rpg) and 16th for scoring average (14.5 ppg).
Â
Russell needs 190 points to become the 14th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau, 117 rebounds to become the fifth to reach 600 career rebounds and 25 steals to become the 16th Rutgers-Camden player to notch 100 steals in their career. With 217 rebounds, he’d be only the fourth player in program history to reach 700 career boards.
