Biography

Tyree Mann-Barnes spent his freshman year at Rutgers-Camden during the 2015-16 scholastic year, earning a letter with the men’s basketball program and competing in one cross country race. After taking a break from college to serve in the military, Mann-Barnes returned to Rutgers-Camden for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. In three years with the Scarlet Raptors, he appeared in 22 games, while averaging 6.3 points and 2.3 rebounds.
 
Academics: Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2016 Spring, 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring semesters…One of only 29 athletes on the 151-member 2020 Fall AD Honor Roll to post a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Basketball 2021-22: Played in six games after joining the program late in the season…Averaged 5.5 points and 1.2 rebounds…Added six assists, one steal and his first career blocked shot…Shot 11-for-32 (.344) from the floor, including 5-for-15 (.333) from three-point range…Shot 6-for-9 (.667) from the foul line…Played his first game at Rowan (Feb. 2), scoring nine points and adding three rebounds, three assists and one steal…Also had three rebounds against Montclair State (Feb. 5), while scoring seven points and adding one assist…Had a season high of 12 points against Ramapo (Feb. 16), shooting 3-for-5 from three-point range and 3-for-3 from the foul line.
 
Basketball 2020-21: Started all six of his games…Finished second on the team in scoring (8.2 points per game) and tied for third in rebounding (3.7 rpg)…Notched eight assists and six steals…Shot .298 (17-for-57) from the floor, including .226 (7-for-31) from three-point range…Shot .471 (8-for-17) from the foul line…Scored in double figures twice, including 11 points against Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 6) and his season high of 13 points in the next game against The College of New Jersey (Feb. 12), including 3-for-6 shooting from three-point range…Added a career-high six rebounds in the Feb. 6 game against Rutgers-Newark…In his second game against The College of New Jersey (Feb. 13), collected a career-high three steals, while adding eight points…Notched a career-high five assists against Stockton (Feb. 19), while adding six points.
 
Basketball 2015-16: Played in 10 games, averaging 5.6 points and 2.1 rebounds…Added six steals and three assists…Shot 22-for-58 (.379) from the floor, including 8-for-35 (.229) from three-point range…Hit four of his 10 foul shots (.400)…Made his collegiate debut in the Raptors’ season opener at Penn State-Harrisburg (Nov. 14), collecting three points and three rebounds in 11 minutes of playing time, going 1-for-3 from three-point range…Had a career-high 15 points (5-for-9 from the floor, including 3-for-6 in treys, and 2-for-4 from the foul line), a career-high four rebounds and his first collegiate assist and steal against Roanoke College (Nov. 15)…Shot 3-for-5 from the floor to net six points against The College of New Jersey (Jan. 20)…Scored 12 points and added three rebounds, one assist and a career-high two steals at Lehman College (Jan. 25)…Shot 5-for-11 from the floor in that game, including 1-for-5 from three-point range, and made his lone foul shot…Collected six points against Stockton University (Deb. 3), five at Montclair State (Feb. 6) and eight against New Jersey City University (Feb. 17), shooting 8-for-18 overall from the floor in those final three games of his season…Added three rebounds and one steal in the NJCU game.
 
Cross Country 2015: Finished third on the Scarlet Raptors and 119th of 133 overall in his first collegiate meet, running at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Cross Country Championship Oct. 10…Posted a time of 44:13.5.
 
High School: 2015 Collingswood High School graduate…Earned four varsity letters in basketball, four in track and two in football…As a junior, captured All-Conference Second Team in basketball…Was All-Conference Second Team and played in the Al Carino All-Star Game during senior basketball season…Honor student every semester.
