Aaron Muse has been a star with the Rutgers-Camden men’s soccer program no matter where the Scarlet Raptors have used his talents.

One of the top defenders in the New Jersey Athletic Conference during his first two seasons as a center back, Muse captured All-NJAC Honorable Mention in 2016 as a forward after finishing second on the team with 15 points. That honor came on the heels of earning All-NJAC Second Team recognition as a sophomore back in 2015. Muse returns to anchor the defense this season, while also serving as one of the Scarlet Raptors' four captains.
A standout in the classroom as well, Muse was a member of the inaugural Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll (Fall 2015 semester) and also was named to the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Spring 2016 and Fall 2016 semesters.
During his three seasons, Muse has appeared in 66 games at Rutgers-Camden, starting 60, including all 45 of his contests over the past two seasons. He owns eight career goals (one a game winner) and five assists for 21 points. He also has played in all 23 of the Scarlet Raptors’ shutouts over that span, starting 20 of them.
Soccer 2016: Played in 21 of the Raptors’ 22 games, starting all 21…Finished tied for second on the team with five goals…Placed second on the team in both assists (5) and points (15)…Took 44 shots, 21 on goal for a .477 percentage…Collected his first career game-winning goal, which came on a penalty kick in the second overtime to beat Alvernia, 1-0, on Sept. 7…That game came five days after he collected one goal and one assist as the Raptors rallied from a 3-1 deficit to tie St. Mary’s, 3-3, in the season opener (Sept. 2)…Captured NJAC Honorable Mention…Served as a team tri-captain…Notched a hat trick Sept. 10 in a 4-0 win over Farmingdale State, the first hat trick for the Scarlet Raptors since Mike Ryan collected one against Misericordia on Sept. 23, 2015…The hat trick helped him earn a berth on the Cialella Soccer Classic All-Tournament Team (Sept. 10-11)…Collected two assists as Rutgers-Camden blanked NJAC rival Rutgers-Newark, 3-0 (Sept. 17)…Added two more assists in a 5-1 win over NJAC rival New Jersey City University (Oct. 8)…Started all seven of the Raptors’ shutouts during the year and played the entire 110 minutes in their four ties.
Soccer 2015: Started all 24 games for the Scarlet Raptors, tying for the seventh-highest number of single-season starts in program history…Collected two goals for four points…Had 16 shots, six on goal…Earned All-NJAC Second Team recognition…Captured a spot on the Cialella Soccer Classic All-Tournament Team (Sept. 12-13)…Helped Rutgers-Camden hold opponents to one goal or fewer in 18 of their 24 games, including eight shutouts…Scored his first goal of the season against Manhattanville College (Sept. 12), helping the Raptors take a 2-0 lead in an eventual 3-2 victory…Tallied his other goal against Ramapo (Oct. 10), 10 minutes after the Roadrunners had cut their deficit to 2-1, sparking Rutgers-Camden to a 5-1 victory.
Soccer 2014: Played in 21 games, starting 15…Took seven shots, three on goal…Scored one goal for two points…Made collegiate debut by starting the season opener, a 1-0 loss against Franklin & Marshall College (Aug. 29)…Played all 90 minutes the next day as Rutgers-Camden shut out Virginia Wesleyan, 2-0, for its first win of the season…Played in all eight of the team’s shutouts, starting five…Notched his first career goal in a 2-1 victory over Rutgers-Newark (Oct. 25)…Started his last six games of the season – all three contests in both the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs and the ECAC Metro/Upstate championships…Helped the Raptors capture the ECAC Div. III Metro/Upstate Men’s Soccer Championship.
