Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Brandon Valeri had a stellar season in his third year with the Scarlet Raptors’ soccer program, earning All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors for both his play on the pitch and his work in the classroom. Valeri, who will serve as one of the team’s four captains for the second straight season, played in all 21 games while leading the Scarlet Raptors into the NJAC semifinals.
 
In his three seasons, Valeri has played in 57 games, starting 35, while adding numerous academic honors.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 scholastic years…Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2022 Spring, 2022 Fall, 2023 Fall and 2024 Fall semesters…Dean’s List student.
 
Soccer 2024: New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team…Served as a team captain…Played in all 21 Rutgers-Camden games, starting 18…Took 20 shots, 10 on goal…Contributed to all nine Scarlet Raptor shutouts…Scored the first three points of his career, collecting one game-winning goal and adding one assist…Scored his first career goal to break a 1-1 tie at 71:08 and spark the Scarlet Raptors to a 4-1 win over Lebanon Valley (Sept. 21), giving Rutgers-Camden the milestone 500th win in program history…Took his high of five shots in the Lebanon Valley game, with four on goal…His first career assist came on the game-winning goal by Jason Angel in a 1-0 victory over Ramapo (Sept. 28).
 
Soccer 2023: Played in 18 of the Raptors’ 19 games, starting 11…Played in all eight Rutgers-Camden shutouts, starting four of them…Took nine shots, including seven on goal…Had his season high of three shots (two on goal) during a 5-4 win at Immaculata (Sept. 18)…Started the Raptors’ first six games of the season and the last four, in addition to a 1-0 shutout over Ramapo on Sept. 27.
 
Soccer 2022: Did not play.
 
Soccer 2021: Appeared in 18 games, making six starts…Took six shots, five of them on goal for an .833 shots-on-goal percentage…Contributed to all five Rutgers-Camden shutouts…Helped the Raptors post shutouts in their first three games of the season, playing 14 minutes in a 3-0 win over Arcadia (Sept. 2), 11 minutes in a 0-0 deadlock against New York University (Sept. 4) and 37 minutes in a 7-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy (Sept. 5)…Took his first two collegiate shots, both on goal, in the Gwynedd Mercy game…Made his first start and played 79 minutes in a 1-1 tie at Cabrini (Sept. 15), beginning a streak in which he started four straight games and six out of seven…Started an played 77 minutes in a 2-0 loss against Montclair State (Sept. 18), played 56 minutes in a 1-0 win at Immaculata (Sept. 21) and 52 minutes in a 2-1 loss at Kean (Sept. 25)…After coming off the bench during a 2-0 loss against Stockton (Sept. 29), started and played his season high of 83 minutes during a 3-2 win over William Paterson (Oct. 2)…Made his last start of the season and played 62 minutes during a 1-0 loss at Haverford (Oct. 6)…Helped the Raptors post a 1-0 win over Springfield (Nov. 13) in their opening game of the ECAC playoffs, playing 24 minutes off the bench.
