A transfer who has attended both High Point University and Penn State but didn’t play soccer, Brian Burke returns for his second season as a member of the Scarlet Raptors’ soccer program.
 
Soccer 2013: Played in seven games as a back for the Scarlet Raptors during his first year at Rutgers-Camden…Helped team capture its third straight New Jersey Athletic Conference title, post a program-best 23-1-2 record and advance to the NCAA Division III championship game.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Attended High Point University with an Army ROTC Scholarship Award…Earned Dean’s List recognition two semesters…Also two-semester Dean’s List student at Penn State University.
 
High School: Captured three soccer and three basketball letters at Clearview Regional High School for Coaches Dodd Terry and Jim Woolbert…Earned a South Jersey Coaches Association Scholar Athlete Award and a Courier-Post Scholar Athlete Award…Team captain for both sports… South Sectional All-State Honorable Mention from the Soccer Coaches Association of New Jersey…Tri-County Conference All-Star Game selection...Helped soccer team earn Tri-County Conference championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010…Tri-County Conference Royal Division First Team as a soccer senior…Earned Gloucester County Academic Excellence Award…National Honor Society member…Graduated third out of 397 in his class.
 
Personal: Born December 22, 1992…Helped his club team, the Pittsgrove Titans, win the 2009 U.S. Club New Jersey State Championship…Hobbies include web designing and volunteer work for Greyhound Angels Adoption, located in Millville…Accounting major who plans to work toward passing his CPA and begin employment at McGladrey LLP for the fall of 2015…Dean’s List in both semesters at Rutgers-Camden…His brother Kevin was an all-conference back and a four-year letterman at Rutgers-Camden, who also served as an assistant coach last year…Brian is the son of Kathleen and Greg Burke of Sewell.
