Biography

Centerback Frankie Knapp missed the 2022 season with an injury, but played a major role on the Raptors during his first three years with the program. Knapp has appeared in 31 games, starting 20, at Rutgers-Camden. He helped the Scarlet Raptors post five shutouts and a 1.31 goals-against average during the 2021 season.
 
Academics: Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll student for the 2020 Fall and 2021 Fall semesters.
 
Soccer 2022: Injured, did not play.
 
Soccer 2021: Played in 17 games, starting 15…Appeared in all five Raptor shutouts, starting four of them…Took seven shots, four on goal…Helped the team earn shutouts while starting the first three games of the season in a 3-0 win over Arcadia (Sept. 2), a 0-0 tie against New York University (Sept. 4) and a 7-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy (Sept. 5)…Played his season high of 94 minutes in the double-overtime game against NYU and played every minute in games against Montclair State (Sept. 18, a 2-0 loss), Ramapo (Oct. 9, a 2-1 overtime win in which he played 93:09 minutes) and Muhlenberg (Nov. 14, a 2-0 loss)…Scored his first career goal during a 3-2 win over Catholic (Sept. 11).
 
Soccer 2020: Played in five of the Raptors’ seven games in the pandemic-shortened season, which was held during the 2021 spring semester…Made two starts…Had two shots, both on goal…Started and played his high of 83 minutes during the season-opening 1-1 tie against the eventual conference champion Ramapo College (March 10)…Took both of his shots in that game…Played 70 minutes in a 2-0 loss at Montclair State (April 1)…Made his second start in the New Jersey Athletic Conference quarterfinal game at Stockton (April 7), a 2-1 Raptor win.
 
Soccer 2019: Appeared in nine games, starting three, during a season that ended prematurely with an injury…Took six shots, three on goal, for a .500 percentage…Appeared in four of the nine shutouts compiled by the Scarlet Raptors, starting one of them…Played six minutes in the season-opening 1-0 win over Carthage (Aug. 30)…Played 24 minutes in a 5-1 win over Mount St. Vincent (Aug. 31) and seven minutes in a 1-0 win over Alvernia (Sept. 4)…Appeared in both games at the Cialella Soccer Classic, playing 15 minutes in a 2-0 win over the College of Staten Island (Sept. 7) and 78 minutes in a 1-0 loss against nationally-ranked Cortland (Sept. 8)…Earned his first start and played 52 minutes in a 5-3 win over Cabrini (Sept. 11)…Played all 95 minutes in a 1-0 overtime loss against Misericordia (Sept. 14) and played 61 minutes in a start against Immaculata (Sept. 18), a 2-0 Raptor game that was his last start due to an injury…Returned to play nine minutes on Oct. 23 in a 3-2 win over Penn State-Abington.
 
High School: Earned four varsity soccer letters at Delsea Regional High School for Coach Tom Freeman…Added three varsity letters in tennis for Coach Brian Lindsay…Captured All-Conference Second Team recognition as a soccer senior…Graduated in 2019.

Personal: Born April 3, 2001…Enjoys watching the Premier League and football, hanging out with friends and playing Pro Clubs on Xbox…Business Management major at Rutgers-Camden…Plans on finishing up at the police academy and applying to his local township, then eventually using his business degree to open some type of business, depending on the area where he lives…Frankie is the son of Frank and Dagmar Knapp of Franklinville.
