Biography

A versatile player who has helped the Scarlet Raptors in the back and up top, Grant Williams has appeared in 57 games for the Scarlet Raptors over his three-year career, starting 24 contests. He has collected one goal (a game winner) and two assists for four career points, contributed to 23 shutouts and captured numerous academic honors at Rutgers-Camden.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2024-25 scholastic year…Dean’s List student and a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2024 Spring, 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters.
 
Soccer 2024: Played in 20 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 21 games…Started 12 games…Collected one game-winning goal and one assist for three points…Had five shots, one on goal…Played in eight of the team’s nine shutouts, including a trio of 1-0 wins to open the season against Neumann (Aug. 30), Haverford (Aug. 31) and Penn State-Abington (Sept. 4)…The PSU-Abington game was his first start of the season…Collected his one assist on the game-tying goal by Ethan Steinbiss as the Scarlet Raptors scored four times in the second half to defeat Lebanon Valley (Sept. 21) by a 4-1 score for the 500th win in program history…His first career goal was the game winner in a 2-1 victory over William Paterson (Oct. 23)…Started the last four games of the season, including a 1-0 win over Rutgers-Newark (Nov. 2) in the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs.
 
Soccer 2023: Played in 18 of the team’s 19 games…Started five games, beginning with a 5-4 win at Immaculata (Sept. 18)…Also started back-to-back shutouts over Penn State-Abington (1-0, Sept. 20) and William Paterson (2-0, Sept. 22), in addition to one-goal losses against Stockton (2-1, Oct. 18) and Kean (1-0, Oct. 28)…Overall, contributed to seven of the team’s eight shutouts during the season, beginning with a 4-0 season-opening win over Arcadia (Sept. 1).
 
Soccer 2022: Appeared in 19 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 22 games, starting seven…Collected one assist…Took one shot…Made his collegiate debut in the season opener against Arcadia (Sept. 1)…Collected his first collegiate assist on the Raptors’ first goal of the season, a strike by Boluwatife Sanya, in an eventual 2-1 win over Widener (Sept. 5)…Made his first collegiate start in a game at Penn State-Abington (Sept. 26) and started the next game at Ramapo (Sept. 28)…Started the last five games of the season, Oct. 19-Nov. 1, while helping the team collect four shutouts in that span…Overall, played in eight of the team’s nine shutouts, starting five of them.
