Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Jawon Daniels returned to the Rutgers-Camden men’s soccer program in 2019 after missing the 2018 season, and appeared in 16 games for the Scarlet Raptors. A two-year letterman, he has played in 34 games at Rutgers-Camden, starting eight and collecting two assists.

Soccer 2019: Appeared in 16 games, starting one…Collected one assist for one point…Took five shots, two on goal, for a .400 percentage…Made his season debut in the Scarlet Raptors’ opener, playing 30 minutes and taking one shot (on goal) in a 1-0 win over Carthage (Aug. 30)…Collected his one assist on a goal by Patrick Grudnik during a 5-1 victory over Mount St. Vincent (Aug. 31)…Made his lone start, and had season highs of two shots and 53 minutes, during a 2-0 win over New Jersey City University (Oct. 5)…Contributed to eight of the Scarlet Raptors’ nine team shutouts.
 
Soccer 2017:  Played in 18 games, starting seven…Had 12 shots, six of them on goal for a .500 percentage…Collected one assist…Started both games of the Scarlet Raptors’ season-opening Gilmore Classic tournament at Rowan University (Sept. 1-2)…Put his first collegiate shot on goal against Lycoming College (Sept. 1)…Played his season high of 66 minutes in a start at Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 16)…Notched his first collegiate point at The College of New Jersey (Sept. 27), assisting on the game-tying goal by Vincenzo Masitti as the Scarlet Raptors tied the Lions, 1-1…Had career highs of two shots on three occasions, coming against New Jersey City University (Oct. 7), Kean University (Oct. 14) and Swarthmore College (Oct. 16).
 
High School: Two-year varsity soccer letterman at Burlington Township High School for Coach Alec Golini…First Team All-Burlington County and Honorable Mention All-State as a senior…Graduated in 2017.
 
Club Team: PDA…Played for PDA Boys Academy from 2013-2017…Club National Champion in 2013.
 
Personal: Born August 20, 1999…Hobbies include making music, developing E commerce sites and marketing tools…Digital Studies major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to develop E commerce sites/social media marketing and travel…Jawon is the son of Mark and Sharon Daniels of Burlington.
