Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Joshua Strickon earned several academic honors in his first year at Rutgers-Camden. A transfer from William Paterson University and at Rowan College of South Jersey, he didn’t see game action in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. In a combined 31-game collegiate career between Paterson and RCSJ, he produced five goals (three game winners) and one assist for 11 points.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2020-21 scholastic year…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring semesters…Dean’s List student.
 
Soccer 2020: Didn’t play during a seven-game shortened season switched to the spring 2021 semester due to the pandemic.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played in 18 games and scored one game-winning goal at William Paterson University in 2018…Took nine shots, five on goal…Made his collegiate debut Aug. 31 vs. Plattsburgh…Took four shots, two on goal, against York College (New York) on Sept. 12…Scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Baruch on Oct. 8…Played in 13 games, starting 11, at RCSJ in 2019, collecting four goals (two game winners) and one assist for nine points…Took 33 shots, 19 on goal…Scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over Brookdale Community College Sept. 21…Had one assist in a 3-1 win at Middlesex County College Oct. 19…Collected one goal in a 4-1 win over Montgomery County Community College Oct. 22…Scored two goals, including the game winner, in a 5-0 victory over Delaware County Community College Oct. 26.
 
High School:  Three-year soccer letterman for Coach Shane Snyder at Washington Township High School…Graduated in 2018.
