Rutgers-Camden Athletics

After two outstanding seasons at Rowan College of South Jersey, attacking center midfielder Justin Phy joined the Rutgers-Camden men’s soccer program during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. He played in four games, starting two.
 
Soccer 2020: Appeared in four of the Scarlet Raptors’ seven games during the brief season, which was played during the 2021 spring semester…Made two starts…Took two shots…Played 30 minutes in his Raptor debut, a 1-0 loss at Stockton (March 20)…Earned his first start and took his first shot in a 2-0 loss at Montclair State (April 1), while playing  his season high of 85 minutes…Started the Raptors’ 2-1 win over Stockton in the New Jersey Athletic Conference quarterfinals (Sept. 7)…Also appeared in the NJAC semifinals at Montclair State (April 10), playing 62 minutes in the Raptors’ 3-1 loss.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played for Rowan College of South Jersey (Gloucester County) during the 2018 and 2019 seasons…Captured All-Region XIX First Team honors both seasons…Named the Roadrunners’ Male Fall Athlete of the Season as a sophomore…During his 2019 campaign, started all 20 of his games to tie for sixth nationally among all NJCAA Division III players…Scored 10 goals (50th nationally) and added eight assists (32nd) for 28 points (43rd)…Had four game-winning goals (12th nationally)…Notched a two-goal game, including the game winner, in the Roadrunners’ season opener against Penn State-Lehigh Valley (Aug. 30).
 
High School:  Soccer letterman at Triton Regional High School…Graduated in 2018.

Personal: Born February 10, 2000…Enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with friends…Health Sciences major at Rutgers-Camden…Plans to continue playing soccer and begin his career in the health field…Justin is the son of Robert and Kathleen Phy of Runnemede.
