Rutgers-Camden Athletics

A valuable defender for the Scarlet Raptors, Kyle Norton broke into the starting lineup as a junior and had a fine season, while helping the team post a 1.31 goals-against average and reach the ECAC semifinals. His senior year in 2022 was hampered by injuries, limiting him to eight games.
 
Norton appeared in 28 games with the Scarlet Raptors over his collegiate career, starting 18 and scoring one goal.
 
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2020 Spring, 2020 Fall, 2021 Spring, 2021 Fall and 2023 Spring semesters…Dean’s List student.
 
Soccer 2022: Played in eight games, starting seven, during an injury-plagued season…Played in four of the Raptors’ shutouts, starting three, including his first game of the season, a 2-0 win over Wilkes (Sept. 17)…Took his lone shot of the season in a 1-0 loss at Alvernia (Sept. 19)…Started shutouts at New Jersey City (a 1-0 win, Oct. 1) and Haverford (0-0, Oct. 5).
 
Soccer 2021: Played in 17 of the Raptors’ 20 games, starting 11…Scored one goal for two points…Took two shots, one on goal…Started four of the Raptors’ five shutouts, including a 3-0 win over Arcadia (Sept. 2) in the season opener and a 0-0 deadlock against New York University (Sept. 4)…Also started 1-0 wins over Immaculata (Sept. 21) and Springfield (Nov. 13 in the ECAC playoffs)…Scored his first career goal in a 2-1 loss at The College of New Jersey (Oct. 13)…Played the full 90 minutes in a 3-2 win at William Paterson (Oct. 2) and a 3-0 loss against Rowan (Oct. 27).
 
Soccer 2020: In a shortened season switched to March, 2021 due to the pandemic, appeared in one of the Scarlet Raptors’ seven games…Played 13 minutes in the Raptors’ 3-1 loss in the New Jersey Athletic Conference semifinals at Montclair State (April 10).
 
Soccer 2019: Appeared in two games…Made his collegiate debut playing 29 minutes in a 5-1 win over Mount St. Vincent (Aug. 31)…Played 24 minutes during a 2-0 loss at The College of New Jersey (Oct. 2).
 
High School: Four-year varsity soccer letterman at Williamstown High School for Coach Dave Geyer…All-Conference First Team as a senior…Graduated in 2019.

Personal: Born January 26, 2001…Interests include hanging out with friends, watching sports on TV and playing sports with friends…Business Management major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to “get a good-paying job and live a happy life”…Kyle is the son of Bill and Cathy Norton of Williamstown.
