Biography

After a two-year absence, Nick DiNapoli returned to the Scarlet Raptors in 2013, in time to help Rutgers-Camden post the finest season in program history. The Raptors went 23-1-2, won their third straight New Jersey Athletic Conference title and advanced to the NCAA Division III championship game for the first time in program history.
 
Over three seasons, DiNapoli has appeared in 34 games at Rutgers-Camden, starting 15. The senior defender has one career assist.
 
Soccer 2013: Played in nine games, taking two shots…Raptors won all nine of those games, including seven by shutout margins…Longest stint of the season came in a 2-0 victory over Cairn University (Oct. 22), when he played 49 minutes…Also contributed to shutouts against Cabrini College (Sept. 4, 2-0), Eastern Mennonite University (Sept. 7, 5-0), Arcadia University (Sept. 8, 5-0), Eastern University (Sept. 11, 5-0), New Jersey City University (Oct. 30, 5-0) and Lycoming College (Nov. 17, 4-0, in the Raptors’ NCAA tournament opener)…Contributed to a pair of 4-1 wins over Ramapo College (Oct. 26) and The College of New Jersey (Nov. 6 in the NJAC semifinals).
 
Soccer 2010: Played in 19 games in the back, starting 15…Collected one assist, his first collegiate point…Helped the Scarlet Raptors post a 1.29 team goals-against average and six shutouts…Key defender as Rutgers-Camden captured the ECAC Div. III Metro/Upstate championship…Notched lone assist on the game-winning goal by Shane McGrory in the Scarlet Raptors’ eventual 3-0  win over Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 18)…Made season debut in a 2-1 loss to Arcadia University (Sept. 1)…Had first career start in a 2-0 loss against Wheaton College (Sept. 5), beginning a streak of 15 straight starting assignments…Was a starter in four of the Scarlet Raptors’ six shutouts.
 
Soccer 2009: Appeared in six games as a Rutgers-Camden freshman…Made his collegiate debut at Arcadia University in the Raptors’ season opener (Sept. 1), a 1-0 victory…Also played in shutout wins against Eastern University (2-0, Sept. 16), Kean University (1-0, Sept. 26) and Moravian College (2-0, Oct. 7).
 
High School: Multi-sport letterman at Bernards High School…Captured four varsity letters for soccer Coach Joe Laspada…Also three-year baseball letterman…Led his team to two soccer conference championships, one sectional title and the 2006 Group 2 state crown…Three-time All-Conference and All-County…First Team All-State…Captain as a senior.
 
Personal: Born April 25, 1991…Played for the Stronghold Soccer Club SSC Ajax and Matchfit…Criminal Justice major at Rutgers-Camden…Enjoys eating Cheerios out of the box and long walks on the beach…Nick is the son of Mary DiNapoli of Bernardsville.
