Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Ricky Kuiters Hurtado has captured numerous academic honors during his three seasons with the Scarlet Raptors’ soccer program, while appearing in 11 games. The Dean’s List student is a two-time New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention performer.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 scholastic years…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2018 Fall, 2019 Spring, 2019 Fall, 2020 Spring, 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring  semesters…Dean’s List all six semesters…During the 2018 Fall semester, he was one of only 17 athletes on the 138-member AD Honor Roll to post a 4.0 GPA…One of only 27 athletes on the 125-member 2021 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Soccer 2020: In a shortened season switched to March, 2021 due to the pandemic, appeared in one game…Played 36 minutes during the Scarlet Raptors’ New Jersey Athletic Conference semifinal game at Montclair State (April 10), a 3-1 loss.
 
Soccer 2019: Was a member of the Scarlet Raptors’ roster, but did not appear in a game.
 
Soccer 2018: Appeared in 10 games…Contributed to five of the Scarlet Raptors’ seven shutouts…Made his collegiate debut in a 3-2 win against New York University (Aug. 31)…Played a season-high 58 minutes in a 3-1 victory over Staten Island (Sept. 8).
 
High School:  Captured four varsity soccer letters at Park Ridge High School West for Coach Ryan Dennis…Earned All-Conference First Team…Bergen County Senior All-Star…Scholar Athlete…Team captain as a senior…Graduated in 2018.

Personal: Born April 25, 2000…Last name pronounced “Q-ters”…Enjoys watching the Champions League, spending time with family and friends, and traveling…Finance major at Rutgers-Camden with minors in both Economics and Religion…Following graduation, pans to stay around the Philadelphia area and complete the MBA program…Richard is the son of Richard and Tania Kuiters Hurtado of Park Ridge.
