Biography

Ryan Nutley capped his two-year Rutgers-Camden career with a record-setting season in 2025, helping the Scarlet Raptors win their first New Jersey Athletic Conference championship while setting the program’s single-season records for games (47) and walks (34).
 
A transfer who previously played at both La Salle University and West Chester University, Nutley played 84 games at Rutgers-Camden, starting 81 and hitting .304. He collected 65 career RBIs, 62 runs, 14 doubles, two triples and three home runs. He added 52 walks and was hit by 16 pitches, helping him compile a .426 on-base percentage. His nine career sacrifice flies are tied for fifth on the program’s career list.
 
Defensively, Nutley collected 48 putouts and 167 assists as the Scarlet Raptors’ third baseman, while turning 16 double plays. He also added numerous academic honors at Rutgers-Camden.

Baseball 2025: Set a single-season program record with 34 walks…Set a single-season program record with 47 games played, starting every Raptor game at third base…Collected six sacrifice flies, tied for the third-highest single-season total in program history and only one behind the two-way tie for the record…Named Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on May 19 for his performance in the NCAA  tournament (3-for-8 with three RBIs)…Had seven at bats against Rowan (April 14), tied for the fourth-highest total in program history and only one behind the single-game program record…Had two sacrifice flies against Immaculata (Feb. 22, Game One), tied for the second-highest single-game total in program history and only one behind the record…Had a slash line of .293/.430/.384 with eight doubles, two triples and one home run…Went 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts…Tied for the team lead with 10 HBP…Added two sacrifices…Defensively had 28 putouts, 100 assists and 10 double plays…Had a five-game hitting streak (March 6-16), going 7-for-16, .438, with nine runs and three RBIs)…Scored three runs on three occasions in the team’s first eight games, coming against Immaculata (Feb. 22, Game Two), York (March 6) and Cortland (March 9)…Also scored three runs against Rowan (April 14), when he went 3-for-7 with a double and four RBIs…In a season-opening doubleheader against Immaculata (Feb. 22), went 4-for-8 with two runs and five RBIs, while ripping a triple in both games…Drew three walks against both Saint John’s (March 20) and Rensselaer (May 17), while adding six games with a pair of walks)…Had 13 multiple-hit games and eight multiple-RBI games…Collected his season high of four hits, going 4-for-6 with one run, three RBIs and a double against Montclair State (May 3)….Had four three-hit games…Collected his season high of six assists against Gwynedd Mercy (Feb. 25) and his high of three putouts against Rutgers-Newark (April 13, Game Two).
 
Baseball 2024: Appeared in 37 games, starting 34 at third base…His .320 (40-for-125) with six doubles and two home runs…Scored 23 runs…Tied for third on the team with 28 RBIs…Second on the team with 18 walks and third with six HBP, producing a .421 on-base percentage, second among all regulars…Had a .416 slugging percentage and an .837 OPS…Collected 20 putouts and finished third on the team with 67 assists…Tied for third on the team with 12 multiple-hit games…Fourth on the team with seven multiple-RBI games…Had a pair of six-game hitting streaks in a 13-game stretch…Hit .360 (9-for-25) from March 25 through April 6 (Game One) with four runs, five RBIs, two walks, one HBP and a .429 on-base percentage…After one hitless game, went on another six-game tear from April 7-April 13 (Game Two), hitting .458 (11-for-24) with one double, one home run, a .625 slugging percentage, seven runs, six RBIs, three walks, one HBP and a .517 on-base percentage…In his second game at Rutgers-Camden, went 2-for-2 with two walks, two runs and three RBIs against Gwynedd Mercy (Feb. 27)…Went 3-for-3 with one walk, one run, a double and three RBIs against Rosemont (March 3, Game Two)…Went 1-for-3 with a home run, a sacrifice fly, one run and three RBIs against Emerson (March 15)…Went 3-for-5 with one double against The College of New Jersey (April 7)…In a game against Keystone (April 9), went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs and three RBIs…Went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, two runs, two walks and his lone home run against Stockton (April 18)…Went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and one RBI against Ramapo (April 20, Game One)…Had his season high of five assists on three occasions and his high of three putouts against Rosemont (March 3, Game Two).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played in seven games, starting one, at La Salle University in 2021, hitting .167 (1-for-6) with one run, four walks and a .500 on-base percentage…Appeared in 12 games, starting two, at West Chester University in 2022, hitting .278 (5-for-18) with one double, one RBI, three walks and five runs…Posted a 1.000 fielding percentage with three putouts and 16 assists in 19 chances.
