Rutgers-Camden Athletics

A transfer who played basketball at Chesapeake College, Deleon Foster joined the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball team over the winter and  joined the women’s outdoor track program during the spring.
 
Academics: Dean’s List student and member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2025 Spring semester.
 
Outdoor Track 2025: Competed in four different sprint events over the course of six invitationals…Placed 14th of 29 in the 100-meter dash (13.64), fourth of four with the 4x100 relay team (53.31) and eighth of nine with the 4x400 relay team (4:40.12) at the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 22)…At the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29), placed 43rd of 92 at 100 meters (13.74), 78th of 124 at 200 meters (a PR of 28.89) and 14th of 15 with the 4x400 team (4:42.74)…Ran relays at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 5), placing sixth of nine with the 4x100 team (53.84) and ninth of 12 with the 4x400 team (4:31.15)…At the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 19), finished 40th of 68 at 100 meters (13.61), seventh of 12 in the 4x100 (52.09) and 11th of 16 in the 4x400 (4:20.90)…Placed 20th of 22 in the 4x100 (53.28) and 15th of 17 in the 4x400 (a PR of 4:20.44) at the Lions Invitational (April 26)… At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 3-4), set a PR the first day in the 100-meter dash (13.37, 23rd of 32) and on the second day in the 4x100 (51.67, sixth of eight).
 
Basketball 2024-25: Appeared in 15 games, averaging 0.7 points and 0.5 rebounds…Added six assists and seven steals…Made her Rutgers-Camden debut against Penn State-Lehigh (Nov. 9), scoring two points and adding two assists and one rebound…Scored her high of four points on 2-for-3 shooting from the field against the City College of New York (Jan. 4)…Had two rebounds apiece against Rowan ;(Dec. 4) and in the CCNY game…Notched a high of two steals against Cairn (Nov. 15), while adding two points.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Captured NJCAA Second Team All-State and academic achievement honors during her basketball career at Chesapeake College…Started 20 of her 26 games during the 2023-24 season for the Skipjacks, averaging 5.8 points and 3.7 rebounds…Collected 88 assists and 47 steals…Shot 69-for-176 (.392) from the floor…Scored 14 points against both Virginia Peninsula Community College (Dec. 19) and WVU Potomac State College (Feb. 16).
 
High School: Multi-sport athlete who captured seven varsity letters in basketball and track at Smyrna High School…Played basketball for Coach Erique Gumbs…Earned All-Conference honors in track…Graduated in 2022.
