Biography

Khylei Neal returned to the soccer pitch and completed his Rutgers-Camden career in 2023, playing in 18 of the team’s 19 games and tying for fifth on the Scarlet Raptors in scoring. During his three seasons at Rutgers-Camden, Neal appeared in 40 games, starting seven. He collected three goals (one game winner) and two assists for eight career points.
 
A stellar student, Neal captured All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic First Team recognition as a senior, adding to the numerous honors he received throughout his collegiate academic career.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic First Team for the 2023-24 scholastic year…NJAC Academic Honorable Mention for the 2021-22 scholastic year…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2020 Fall, 2021 Spring, 2021 Fall, 2022 Spring, 2023 Fall and 2024 Spring semesters…Multi-time Dean’s List student…One of only 29 athletes on the 151-member 2020 Fall AD Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Soccer 2023: Played in 18 games, starting two…Scored one goal and added two assists, tying for fifth on the team with four points…Took nine shots, four on goal…Played a big role in the Scarlet Raptors’ 2-0 win at William Paterson (Sept. 22), assisting on Rohan Castillo’s game-winning goal before adding an insurance goal of his own late in the contest…Took three shots against the Pioneers, all on goal…Collected his second assist in a 2-1 loss against The College of New Jersey (Oct. 25)…Made his two starts against Ramapo (a 1-0 Raptor win Sept. 27) and Kean (a 2-0 loss Oct. 7)…Played in all eight of the Scarlet Raptors’ shutouts.
 
Soccer 2022: Did not play.
 
Soccer 2021: Played in all 20 games for the Scarlet Raptors…Started five games, including both contests in the ECAC tournament (Nov. 13-14) against Springfield and Muhlenberg…Played his season high of 63 minutes in the 2-0 loss to Muhlenberg in the ECAC semifinals…Notched two goals (one game winner) for four points, including one game-winning goal…Took 10 shots, four on goal…His hustle resulted in a steal of a poor back pass to the goalie and was finished by scoring the second goal of the game in a season-opening 3-0 win over Arcadia (Sept. 2)…Scored the lone goal of the game at 7:28 to produce a 1-0 win at Immaculata (Sept. 21)…Took a season high of four shots in a 7-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy (Sept. 5).
 
Soccer 2020: Appeared in two games during the brief seven-game pandemic-shortened season, which was held during the 2021 spring semester…Made his collegiate debut playing 27 minutes at Montclair State (April 1)…Played 34 minutes in the Raptors’ 2-1 win at Stockton (April 7) in the New Jersey Athletic Conference quarterfinals.
 
High School:  Captured six varsity letters at Cherry Hill High School West, including three in soccer for Coach Dan Butler…Also added two varsity tennis letters…Earned All-Conference First Team soccer honors as a junior and a senior…Added All-South Jersey Third Team honors during his senior soccer season…Peer Leader…Graduated in 2020.
