Rutgers-Camden Athletics

One of the fine freshmen on the 2024 Rutgers-Camden volleyball team, Maria Theruviparambil was among the team’s top attacking players, placing fourth on the Scarlet Raptors in both kills and total attacks.
 
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and a Dean’s List student for the 2024 Fall semester.
 
Volleyball 2024: Competed in 19 matches and 73 sets…Finished fourth on the team with 124 kills and 432 total attacks…Tied for third on the team with 1.70 kills per set…Added 55 digs, 14 blocks (three solo, 11 assisted) and one ace…Had three matches with double-digit kills, with a high of 18 against Rutgers-Newark (Oct. 1), when she hit .394 (18 kills, five errors in 33 total attacks)…She also collected her lone service ace in that Rutgers-Newark match…Had a high hitting percentage of .750 (six kills, no errors in eight attacks) against Penn State-Brandywine (Sept. 8)…Had eight digs against Widener (Sept. 5) and collected six digs against both Penn State-Harrisburg (Sept. 14) and Eastern Mennonite (Sept. 21)…Notched two blocks against both Widener (Sept. 5, two assisted blocks) and Rutgers-Newark (Oct. 1, one solo and one assisted block).
 
High School: Four-year volleyball letterwinner at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South for Coach Kevin Lynch…All-Conference First Team…Graduated in 2024.
