Biography

A three-year member of the Scarlet Raptors’ women’s basketball program, Breanna Ettrick returned to the team during the 2021-22 scholastic year after sitting out the pandemic-altered 2020-21 season. Ettrick also has captured numerous academic honors at Rutgers University-Camden.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2019-20 and 2021-22 scholastic years…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2018 Fall, 2019 Spring, 2019 Fall, 2020 Spring, 2021 Fall and 2022 Spring semesters…Five-time Dean’s List student…Was one of only 17 athletes on the 138-member 2018 Fall Honor Roll team to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA. 
 
Basketball 2021-23: Played in 13 games, starting six…Averaged 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 points…Added for assists and four steals…Added four assists and four steals…Shot 3-for-5 (.600) from the foul line…Scored her season high of four points at The College of New Jersey (Jan. 26)…Had a high of four rebounds at Ramapo (Feb. 16)…Shot 2-for-2 from the foul line against Kean (Feb. 12)…Had one assist and one steal on four occasions.
 
Basketball 2020-21: Did not play.
 
Basketball 2019-20: Played in 21 games, starting two…Averaged 2.6 points and 2.6 rebounds…Collected seven assists, five steals and four blocks…Started the team’s season opener at Penn State-Schuylkill (Nov. 12), collecting three points and four rebounds in the Raptors’ win…Notched a career-high nine points, shooting 4-for-5 from the floor and 1-for-2 from the foul line, against Stockton University (Dec. 4)…Collected a career-high seven rebounds at Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 8) and had six boards apiece against Kean (Dec. 14) and Valley Forge (Jan. 13)…Scored seven points and added four rebounds in her first outing against Rutgers-Newark during the season (Jan. 11), earning a start in the Valley Forge game on Jan. 13, when she added six points and a career-high three assists to her six rebounds…Had one block and one steal apiece during three games, coming against Penn State-Abington (Jan. 6), Montclair State (Jan. 15) and Stockton (Jan. 29).
 
Basketball 2018-19: Played in 25 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 26 games, starting one…Averaged 1.0 points and 0.4 rebounds, while adding two assists, two blocked shots and one steal…Shot 12-for-34 (.353) from the floor, including 1-for-3 (.333) from three-point range…Shot 1-for-2 (.500) from the foul line…Made her collegiate debut playing nine minutes against Gallaudet (Nov. 10), shooting 1-for-2 from the line to notch her first point…Had two points (1-for-5 from the floor) and one rebound against Penn State-Schuylkill (Nov. 13)…Shot 2-for-3 from the floor to collect five points against Rowan (Nov. 20)…Notched her first three collegiate rebounds against William Paterson (Dec 1)…Collected her first collegiate block and added two points against New Jersey City University (Jan. 12)…Made her first collegiate start and had two rebounds, one block and one steal against Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 2)…Had her high of eight points in her final game, a New Jersey Athletic Conference playoff game at Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 16), shooting 4-for-7 from the floor, while adding one rebound.
 
High School: Captured one varsity letter and served as team captain in basketball for Coach Stephanie Dunn at Mount Paran Christian School…Prior to that, earned one varsity letter and was a team captain in basketball for Coach Angie Hembree at Norcross High School…Also lettered in cross country at Norcross High…Four-time Scholar Athlete…Mason Tompkins Legacy Award recipient…Four-year Honor Roll member…Two-year National Honor Society member…Also a member of the National Art Honor Society…Graduated in 2018 from Mount Paran Christian School.
