Biography
Chloe Bennett played in all six of the Scarlet Raptors’ games, starting five, as a freshman guard.
Academics: Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring semesters.
Basketball 2020-21: Started five games while playing in all six contests for the Scarlet Raptors…Finished second on the team in assists (12) and fourth in scoring (6.3 points per game)…Added one steal and averaged 1.0 rebound per game…Led the team in three-point field goals, shooting 12-for-51 (.235) from beyond the arc…Made her collegiate debut in the season opener against Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 5), coming off the bench to play 29 minutes, score six points and add three assists…Made her first start the next day at Rutgers-Newark, notching one assist…Tied her career assist high with three at The College of New Jersey (Feb. 12), while scoring six points and adding her first collegiate steal…In a home game against The College of New Jersey (Feb. 13), shot 4-for-10 from three-point range on her way to a career-high 12 points, while adding two assists and her first three collegiate rebounds…Collected ninwe points, two rebounds and two assists at Stockton University (Feb. 19)…Scored five points and added one assist and one rebound in a New Jersey Athletic Conference playoff game at Montclair State University (March 5).
High School: Earned four varsity letters in basketball and three in field hockey at Gloucester City High School…Scored 1,462 points and set a program record with 318 three-pointers…Was a four-time basketball MVP for the Lions…Earned All-Tri-County Conference First Team honors three times in basketball and once in field hockey…Also captured All-Tri-County Second Team once in basketball…Was a two-time All-Group One basketball player…National Honor Society member…Graduated Gloucester City High School in 2020.
Personal: Born February 19, 2002…Enjoys going to the beach and spending time with family and friends…Childhood Studies major at Rutgers-Camden with a minor in Juvenile Justice and Youth Development…Plans to apply to Rutgers-Camden’s MAT Program and become an elementary school teacher…Chloe is the daughter of Jim and Denise Bennett of Gloucester City.
