Linette Johnson returns for her second season with the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball coaching staff. She joined the Scarlet Raptors for the 2016-17 season after coaching on the high school and AAU levels over the years.
A three-year player as a guard at Richard Stockton College (now Stockton University) during the 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2007-08 seasons, Johnson played in 34 games during her Osprey career. She graduated from Stockton in 2008 with a B.S. in Biology.
A four-year varsity basketball letterwinner at Lakewood High School, who earned Second Team B-South honors in 2003, Johnson started her coaching career with the freshman girls’ basketball team at Camden Catholic during the 2013-14 season. She coached the junior varsity team at Camden Catholic for the next two seasons, and also served as an assistant varsity coach for the Irish during that three-year span. In addition, she served as a trainer and AAU coach for Nexxt Level Sports from 2013-2015.
Johnson resides in Westville and has worked as a scientist with the American Red Cross-National Molecular Laboratory for the past five years.
