Lauren Creel returns to the Rutgers-Camden coaching staff for her second season in 2014-15, continuing her work with Scarlet Raptors Head Coach Annette Reiter. Creel started her coaching career an assistant under Reiter at Penn State-Abington during the 2012-13 season.
 
The 2013-14 season marked a return to the New Jersey Athletic Conference for Creel, who had a stellar basketball career at NJAC rival Rowan University from 2008-12. During her time with the Profs, she served as a captain and led the team in scoring, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and steals during her senior year.
 
An outstanding student in the classroom as well, Creel captured CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-District 2 honors, was a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and graduated from Rowan Magna Cum Laude with a 3.81 GPA in May 2012. She received her BA in Health and Exercise Science.
 
In addition to her collegiate coaching, Creel also teamed with Rutgers-Camden assistant Ashley Barker to coach the seventh-grade AAU basketball team the JKMBA Jaguars. She also has worked numerous basketball camps over the past seven years, including the Princeton Women’s Basketball Camp, HoopGroup, the 76ers, SuperRat and JKMBA.
 
A three-sport athlete in basketball, softball and soccer at Pennsauken High School, Creel currently teaches elementary physical education in the Pennsauken Public School District.
