Biography
A valuable player off the bench during her rookie season, Ijahnay Johnson appeared in 19 games for the Scarlet Raptors, while finishing second on the club with 10 blocked shots. She also compiled an impressive freshman year in the classroom.
Academics: Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2019 Fall and 2020 Spring semesters…One of only 16 athletes on the 148-member 2019 Fall AD Honor Roll to record at 4.0 GPA.
Basketball 2019-20: Played in 19 games, averaging 2.1 points and 1.1 rebounds…Finished second on the team with 10 blocked shots…Collected one assist and one steal…Shot an impressive 17-for-35 (.486) from the floor…Shot 6-for-9 (.667) from the foul line…Made her collegiate debut playing five minutes at Penn State-Schuylkill in the season opener (Nov. 12), making her only field goal attempt to score her first two collegiate points…Had his first two rebounds and his first two blocked shots against Penn State-Lehigh Valley (Nov. 15), while adding four points…Notched another two-rebound, two-block game at Cairn (Nov. 16), while scoring 10 points for the first of two contests collecting double-figure points…Tied her season high of two blocks against both Kean (Dec. 14) and Valley Forge (Jan. 13)…In the Valley Forge game, collected her season highs of 12 points (4-for-7 from the floor and 4-for-7 from the foul line) and five rebounds, while adding her first collegiate steal…Had her first collegiate assist against Rutgers-Newark (Jan. 11), while adding two points, one rebound and one block…Notched four rebounds against The College of New Jersey (Feb. 5).
