Biography

A success story wherever she goes, Kamari Talley joined the Scarlet Raptors’ basketball program at the semester break last season and went on to earn All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Honorable Mention after transferring to the school from Division I Saint Francis University. Talley was a junior college All-American during her one season at Camden County College in 2013-14.
 
Entering her final season of eligibility, Talley has produced phenomenal totals of 949 points and 592 rebounds in only 55 collegiate games. For her career, she is averaging a double-double of 17.3 points and 10.8 rebounds.

Basketball 2014-15: Played in 15 games in her first season at Rutgers-Camden, starting 10…Led the team by averaging 14.7 points per game…Finished second on the team in rebounding average (9.1)…Fourth in steals (35)…Added 19 assists and four blocked shots…Shot 50-for-71 (.704) from the foul line…Captured All-NJAC Honorable Mention recognition…Named the NJAC Player of the Week on Jan. 19…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week Jan. 26…Scored in double figures in 11 of her 15 games…Had five double-doubles in those 15 games…Made Rutgers-Camden debut at Elmira College (Dec. 30) and scored 17 points while adding eight rebounds, two assists and five steals…Also notched five steals in back-to-back games against The College of New Jersey (Jan. 21) and William Paterson University (Jan. 24)…Added her Raptor career high of four assists in the Paterson game…Shot 10-for-20 from the floor on her way to 26 points against Ramapo College (Jan. 17), her first of three 20-point games…Scored 20 points against TCNJ (Jan. 21)…Had a Raptor career high of 28 against Rowan University (Jan. 29), aided by 12-for-14 shooting from the foul line…Had her first Raptor double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds against New Jersey City University (Jan. 14)…Added a double-double against The College of New Jersey (Jan. 21) with her 20 points and a Raptor career high of 14 rebounds…Tied her rebounding high of 14 while adding her high of 28 points in a double-double against Rowan University (Jan. 29)…Notched double-doubles in her final two games of the season, collecting 13 rebounds in each game while scoring 18 points against Ramapo College (Feb. 14) and 16 against New Jersey City University (Feb. 18).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Attended Saint Francis University (first semester during the 2014-15 scholastic year), Camden County College (2013-14), and both Daytona State College and Paris (TX) Junior College (2012-13)…Played in 10 games at Daytona State during the 2012 fall semester, averaging 10.4 points and 5.0 rebounds…Transferred to Paris Junior College for the spring 2013 semester, but did not play basketball …During her year with the Camden County Cougars, she was named to the All-GSAC First Team, NJCAA All-Region 19 First Team and NJCAA Division III All-America Third Team…Finished third nationally in NJCAA Division III in both scoring average (24.1 points per game) and rebounding average (15.5)…Paced all of Division III with 177 offensive rebounds…Finished ninth nationally with 603 total points and third with 388 total rebounds…Added 69 steals (31st nationally) and 32 blocks (32nd), while also chipping in with 17 assists…Among her big offensive games were 39 points against Passaic County Community College (Dec. 7), 38 against Middlesex County College (Jan. 18), 37 against Community College of Philadelphia (Dec. 3), 34 against Brookdale Community College (Feb. 4), 32 against Sussex County Community College (Jan. 25) and 31 against Passaic County Community College (Feb. 1)…Notched over 20 rebounds on four occasions, with a high of 25 in the Community College of Philadelphia game…During five games at Saint Francis University during the 2014 fall semester, notched 21 points and 17 rebounds…Scored 11 points and added eight rebounds while playing 16 minutes against Ohio State University (Nov. 16) in her first game at Saint Francis…Overall owns 728 points (18.2 ppg) and 455 rebounds (11.4 rpg) in 40 collegiate games.
 
High School: Basketball star for Coach Bernie Henson at Woodrow Wilson High School, while attending Camden’s Creative Arts High School…Captured All-Olympic Conference Second Team honors as a junior…Honor Roll.
