Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Karina Correa competed with both the basketball and outdoor track programs during her first year at Rutgers-Camden in 2021-22. She also added academic honors.

Outdoor Track 2022: Competed in the shot put at five meets…Made her track debut at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 1), finishing 28th of 32 in the shot put (7.49 meters)…Placed 35th of 43 in the shot put (7.64 meters) at the Osprey Open (April 9) and 44th of 47 (7.60 meters) at the Widener Invitational (April 22)…Notched her PR of 8.01 meters in the shot put at the Lions Invitational (April 30), finishing 39th of 40…Placed 21st of 23 in the shot put (7.73 meters) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 9).
 
Basketball 2021-22: Appeared in 14 games, starting two…Averaged 0.6 points and 0.6 rebounds…Added one assist…Shot 3-for-11 (.273) from the floor, including a perfect 1-for-1 (1.000) from three-point range…Shot 1-for-2 (.500) from the foul line…Made her collegiate athletic debut playing two minutes against Alvernia (Nov. 15)…Scored her first career points with a field goal against New Jersey City (Dec. 4), shooting 1-for-4 for two points in that game…Notched her career high of three points (1-for-2 from the floor and 1-for-1 from the foul line), while collecting her lone assist and establishing her high of two rebounds against Kean (Jan. 15)…Tied her high of two rebounds in two games against Stockton (Jan. 19) and in the NJAC playoffs (Feb. 19).
