Nijae Wooden captured academic honors and appeared in 21 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 25 basketball games during her freshman year at Rutgers University-Camden.

Academics: Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List student for the 2019 Fall and 2020 Spring semesters…One of 47 athletes on the 171-member 2020 Spring AD Honor Roll to achieve a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Basketball 2019-20: Played in 21 games, averaging 0.5 points and 0.5 rebounds…Collected three steals, three assists and one blocked shot…Shot 3-for-6 (.500) from the foul line…Made her collegiate debut playing two minutes in the season opener at Penn State-Schuylkill (Nov. 12), shooting 2-for-3 from the floor to score her first four points…Hauled down her first rebound against Penn State-Lehigh Valley (Nov. 15)…Added her first two collegiate assists, her first steal and another rebound against Cairn (Nov. 16)…Tied her career scoring high of four points, while setting career highs of three rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot at the University of Valley Forge (Jan. 13)…Had two rebounds against Stockton (Jan. 29)…Scored two points against Montclair State (Feb. 19).

High School: Spent three years at Woodrow Wilson High School and her final year at Timber Creek High School, earning one varsity basketball letter at both schools during her junior and senior seasons…Three-year National Honor Society member…Psychology National Honor Society for one year…Honor Roll all four years…Graduated from Timber Creek High School in 2019.
