Biography

During her three seasons with the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball program, Shane Holmes has started 48 of her 72 career games while compiling 181 assists, the 10th-highest total in program history. She has averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds, while collecting 124 steals (22nd on the career list) and notching 59 three-point field goals, the ninth-highest total in the program’s career history.
 
Basketball 2019-20: Played in all 24 games, starting all 24…Led the team in assists (73) and was second in steals (52)…Finished fourth on the team in scoring average (6.9 ppg), tied for third in three-point field goals (22) and averaged 3.6 rebounds per game…Set single-game career highs with eight rebounds against Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 8) and eight steals against Penn State-Lehigh Valley (Nov. 15)…Tied her career high of nine assists in the season-opening game at Penn State-Schuylkill (Nov. 12)…Scored in double figures on seven occasions, beginning with 13 points against Arcadia (Nov. 23)…Had a stretch of three straight games with double figures in scoring, notching 12, a season-high 18, and 17 points in consecutive games against The College of New Jersey (Feb. 5), Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 8) and Ramapo (Feb. 12), respectively…In addition to her nine-assist game to open the season, had four or more assists on eight other occasions, including six games with five assists apiece…Notched three games with four or more steals and added seven other contests with three steals apiece…Had two blocked shots during the season, with one apiece against Cairn (Nov. 16) and Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 8) to tie her single-game career high, accomplished four times.
 
Basketball 2018-19: Stepped into the Scarlet Raptors’ starting lineup, appearing in all 26 games with 22 starts…Led the team with 82 assists and finished second with 58 steals…Averaged 6.5 points and 3.0 rebounds…Notched six games scoring in double digits, including a career-high 20 points at Wilkes University (Jan. 14), aided by 9-for-11 shooting from the foul line…Scored 14 and 15 points, respectively, in back-to-back games against Ramapo College (Feb. 6) and New Jersey City University (Feb. 9)…Added her lone blocked shot of the season in the NJCU game…Collected a career-high six rebounds at Rutgers University-Newark (Jan. 15) and tied that mark with six boards against William Paterson University (Jan. 19)…Added three games with five rebounds apiece, coming twice against Montclair State University (Jan. 9 and Feb. 13) and once against Ramapo College (Feb. 6)…Grabbed a career-high six steals against Stockton University (Jan. 23) and had five-steal games on two occasions against Rutgers University-Newark (Feb. 2 and 16).
 
Basketball 2017-18: Played in 22 games, starting two…Averaged 3.3 points and 1.6 rebounds…Collected 26 assists, 14 steals and one blocked shot…Shot .275 (14-for-51) from three-point range…New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week Feb. 12 after collecting back-to-back games of nine points against Ramapo College (Feb. 8) and a career-high 13 points at William Paterson University (Feb. 10), while adding three rebounds in each game…Made collegiate debut against Wilkes University (Nov. 15), collecting four points, two rebounds and two assists…Had her first of three double-digit games in scoring, notching 11 points against New Jersey City University (Dec. 2)…Had a 10-point game at Ramapo College (Jan. 3)…In her 13-point effort against William Paterson, shot 5-for-10 from the floor, including 3-for-7 from three-point range…Had a high of nine assists, while adding her first two-steal game at Kean University (Jan. 6)…Collected two steals on three occasions,  also adding a pair of steals against Rowan University (Jan. 24) and Ramapo College (Feb. 8)…Recorded her lone blocked shot at Stockton University (Jan. 31).
