Biography

Taja Brown joined the Scarlet Raptors for the 2023-24 season after playing one season of junior college basketball at Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois. She completed her second season with the team during the 2024-25 campaign.
 
In 48 career games at Rutgers-Camden, Brown is averaging 6.4 points and 5.3 rebounds.

Basketball 2023-24: Started all 24 of her games…Finished second on the team in scoring (9.1 ppg) and rebounding (7.5 rpg)…Added 17 assists, 16 steals and one blocked shot…Shot 74-for-209 (.354) from the floor and 70-for-107 (.654) from the foul line…Collected three double-doubles, with the first coming at William Paterson (Jan. 13) when she notched 10 points and 10 rebounds…Added a double-double with 11 points and her season high of 14 rebounds in the Scarlet Raptors’ lone win of the season, a 55-54 triumph over Rutgers-Newark (Jan. 27)…Had her final double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds against New Jersey City (Feb. 14)…Scored in double figures on 14 occasions, with a high of 17 against William Paterson (Feb. 10)…Had 16 points in the previous game at Kean (Feb. 7)…Grabbed double-digit rebounds in six games…Had highs of two assists (five times) and two steals (four times)…Blocked her lone shot against Ramapo (Feb. 3).
