Biography

Caitlyn Snyder has played in 45 career lacrosse games at Rutgers-Camden, serving time as both a goalie and a defender. She is 10th on the career list for games and 11th for games started (42). She ranks first in goals-against average (13.02), third in save percentage (.365), fourth in shots faced (469) and saves (131), and is tied for fifth in goalie wins (5). She also owns 38 career ground balls and 17 caused turnovers.
 
Snyder also ran at one cross country meet during the 2019 Fall semester to help the short-handed program.
 
Academics: Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2015 Fall, 2017 Fall, 2019 Spring,  2019 Fall and 2020 Spring semesters…Was a Dean’s List student who was one of only 20 athletes on the 141-member 2019 Spring AD Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA…Was a Dean’s List student who was one of 47 athletes on the 171-member 2020 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Lacrosse 2020: Started both games during the Scarlet Raptors’ short season, which ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic…Tied for second on the team with two caused turnovers and tied for third on the Raptors with two ground balls…Started and played all 60 minutes in the season opener against Manhattanville (March 7)…Started against Bryn Mawr (March 10) and collected two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
 
Cross Country 2019: Ran at the 6K NJAIAW Championships (Sept. 21), finishing sixth on the team and 200th of 210 overall with a time of 39:47.50.
 
Lacrosse 2019: Played in 14 games, starting 13 as a defender…Collected one ground ball and nine caused turnovers…Notched her high of three caused turnovers in a 19-7 win over SUNY-Purchase (March 15)…Added two caused turnovers against both DeSales (March 23) and Immaculata (April 16)…Had her lone ground ball in a game against Rowan (April 23).
 
Lacrosse 2018: Played in 13 games, starting 11 overall, with 10 ground balls and four caused turnovers…In goal, appeared in four games, starting three…Went 0-2 with a 14.41 goals-against average…Allowed 22 goals in 91:36 minutes of playing time…Faced 42 shots and made 11 saves…Faced 14 shots in 20:12 against DeSales University (March 17), making four saves and allowing five goals in a 14-4 loss…Faced 10 shots in 16:11 during the Raptors’ 16-14 win over Penn State-Abington (March 19), allowing six goals and making three saves…Allowed five goals and made two saves in 22:20 against Neumann University (March 29) during 22:20 minutes of playing time…Faced 11 shots in 32:53 against Rowan University (April 24), making two saves and allowing six goals…Had a season-high three ground balls against Penn State-Abington…Added two ground balls and one caused turned against Ramapo College (April 28).
 
Lacrosse 2017:  Played every minute (960) of the season in goal as a rookie…Had the second-best single-season goals-against average (12.88) and the second-highest amount of saves (120, two shy of the record) in program history…Her 427 shots faced ranked third among Rutgers-Camden single-season program records, her five wins tied for third and her .368 save percentage placed fourth…Compiled the second-best single-game save percentage in program history with a .778 mark in a season-opening 15-2 win over Rosemont College (March 2)…She made seven saves in that game, which made her the winning goalie in her collegiate debut and marked the first time in program history Rutgers-Camden won its season opener…Also had the third-highest single-game save percentage with a mark of .714 against Cedar Crest (April 14), making five saves in a 12-2 win…Posted double-digit saves in four games, with a high of 11 against Neumann University (March 30)…Faced 30 or more shots in six games, with a high of 40 against Kean University (April 8), six shy of the program single-game mark…Notched 10 saves in games against Arcadia (March 8), Immaculata (March 22) and Stockton (April 19)…Earned her second career win in a 14-9 game against DeSales University (March 11), making eight saves while facing 24 shots…Notched six saves in an 11-10 victory over Delaware Valley (March 28)…Defeated Gwynedd Mercy 21-10 (April 27), making six saves.
 
High School: Multi-sport letterwinner in lacrosse and soccer at Sterling High School…Principal’s List…Perfect attendance…Graduated in 2015.
 
Personal: Born July 24, 1997…Loves photography and art…Social Work major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to attend graduate school, obtain her Master’s degree in Social Work and work with policy…Caitlyn is the daughter of Maria and Steve Snyder of Somerdale.
