Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Rachel Haigh completed her three-year Rutgers-Camden career in 2022, starting all of the Scarlet Raptors’ 13 games. In a career shortened by two pandemic-altered seasons, Haigh started 16 games, producing three goals and four assists for seven points. She added 17 ground balls, 18 draw controls and eight caused turnovers.
 
A Nursing major, Haigh also earned numerous academic honors during her collegiate career.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 scholastic years…Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2020 Fall, 2021 Spring, 2021 Fall and 2022 Spring semesters…Dean’s List student.
 
Lacrosse 2022: Started all 13 Rutgers-Camden games…Notched three goals and four assists for seven points…Took nine shots, six on goal…Finished third on the Raptors with 18 draw controls and 16 ground balls…Added eight caused turnovers…Notched the first point of her collegiate career with an assist in a 13-12 season-opening win over Eastern University (March 2), while also adding two ground balls…Had another assist and a career-high five ground balls in a 16-11 win over Delaware Valley (March 14), while adding one draw control and one caused turnover…Scored her first career goal against Gwynedd Mercy (March 16), while adding two draw controls…Had one goal, two ground balls, one draw control and one caused turnover at Bryn Athyn College (March 19)…Scored her third goal of the season against Rowan (April 19), while adding a career-high four draw controls and also collecting one ground ball…Notched three draw controls in games against Immaculata (March 22), Kean (April 9) and Ramapo (April 23).
 
Lacrosse 2021: Played in only one of the Scarlet Raptors’ five games during the pandemic-shortened season…Started the season opener against Kean (April 3).
 
Lacrosse 2020: Started both Raptor games and collected one ground ball…Played 117 of the team’s 120 minutes…Made her collegiate debut against Manhattanville (March 7), played all 60 minutes and notched one ground ball…Played in 57 of the team’s 60 minutes against Bryn Mawr (March 10),
 
High School: Two-sport letterwinner at Cherry Hill High School West, who participated in lacrosse and basketball…Graduated in 2018.
 
Personal: Born November 26, 1999…Last name pronounced “H-egg”…Hobbies include surfing…Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to become an ICU/Trauma nurse…Rachel is the daughter of Chrissy and Rich Haigh of Cinnaminson.
