Biography
A’yanna Morton played a big role on the Scarlet Raptors’ basketball team as one of the main starters during her freshman year. In addition to leading the team in blocked shots, she finished among the Raptors’ leaders in numerous other categories.
Basketball 2023-24: Played in all 25 Rutgers-Camden games, starting 24…Finished third on the team in rebounding (5.4 rpg) and fourth in scoring (7.4 ppg)…Third on the team in assists (42) and fourth in steals (26)…Led the team with 14 blocked shots…Shot 64-for-209 (.306) from the floor, including 24-for-109 (.220) from three-point range to finish second on the team in treys…Shot 33-for-53 (.623) from the foul line…Made her collegiate debut starting the season opener at Drew (Nov. 8), collecting her season high of 10 rebounds while adding four assists, three points and one steal…Scored in double figures for the first time when she notched 16 points at The College of New Jersey (Nov. 21), aided by 5-for-9 shooting from the floor and 6-for-9 shooting from the foul line…Collected 15 points in a conference game at Rowan (Dec. 6)…Scored a career-high 17 points at William Paterson (Jan. 13), while adding a high of seven rebounds…Tied her career scoring high of 17 points against New Jersey City (Feb. 14), collecting her season high of seven field goals, including three treys…Dished off her high of six assists and recorded her high of three blocked shots against New Jersey City (Jan. 10)…Had five assists against Penn State-Abington (Nov. 16)…Collected her high of three steals against both Rutgers-Newark (Dec. 9) and William Paterson (Feb. 10).
