Biography
Annalise Kipp made a seamless jump to collegiate tennis during a stellar rookie season with the Scarlet Raptors last fall. An all-conference player in high school, Kipp became Rutgers-Camden’s top singles and doubles player as a freshman, while earning two honors as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week. She also served on Rutgers-Camden’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and earned a berth on the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for both the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters. During the spring, she was one of only 14 student-athletes on the Honor Roll to earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
Tennis 2016-17: Posted an overall record of 9-11, including a 5-5 mark in singles and a 4-6 doubles record while playing in the first spot in every match…Teamed with Danielle Lemma in all but one of her matches at first doubles, posting a 4-5 record…Went 0-1 at first doubles with Christine Abacan, losing an 8-0 decision against perennial conference champion The College of New Jersey (Sept. 13)…Named the NJAC Women’s Tennis Rookie of the Week on both Oct. 17 and Oct. 31…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on Oct. 17…Won her very first collegiate singles match with a 0-6, 6-1, 10-8 marathon decision at Immaculata University (Sept. 10)…Notched her second singles win in a NJAC match against Ramapo College (Sept. 24), winning, 6-1, 6-2…Won her last three matches of the season at first singles and her last four matches at first doubles with Lemma…Posted her first collegiate doubles win with an 8-5 victory at Rutgers-Newark on Oct. 9, teaming with Lemma…Swept her last three matches of the season at first singles and at first doubles with Lemma, winning at Cedar Crest College Oct. 15 (3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in singles and 8-5 in doubles), at Penn State-Brandywine Oct. 16 (6-0, 6-0 in singles and 8-0 in doubles) and against Kean University Oct. 30 (5-4, retired in singles and 8-2 in doubles).
High School: Multi-sport letterwinner at West Deptford High School…Captured three varsity letters apiece in tennis and winter track, while adding one letter in both soccer and spring track…Earned All-Conference First Team tennis honors as a senior and All-Conference Second Team as a junior…Group 2 All-State Third Team as a senior.
Personal: Born October 13, 1997…Nicknamed “Anna”…Older sister Millie was an All-New Jersey Athletic Conference cross country star at Rutgers-Camden, who also ran track and played tennis…Enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading and exercising…Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden…Plans to become a Registered Nurse and work at a local hospital…Annalise is the daughter of Robyn and James Kipp of West Deptford.
