Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Erica Steer earned her first collegiate tennis victories during her third season with the Scarlet Raptors, lifting her overall tennis mark at Rutgers-Camden to 4-9.
 
A Dean’s List student, Steer also has captured multiple berths on the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Tennis Spring 2021: Posted a 3-2 record in singles (1-0 at fourth singles and 2-2 in the sixth spot)…Went 1-5 in doubles (1-0 at second doubles with Hannah Cohan and 0-5 in third doubles with Alyna Cabrera)…Captured her first two collegiate victories in the Raptors’ season-opening win over New Jersey City (March 27), posting an 8-4 win with Cohan at second doubles and following up with a 6-0, 6-3 win at fourth singles…Played sixth singles and third doubles (with Cabrera) the rest of the season…Won at singles (6-2, 6-5) and lost at doubles (4-8) against Ramapo (April 10) and followed with a singles victory (6-1, 6-3) and narrow doubles defeat (6-8) against Kean (April 17)…Against perennial conference champion The College of New Jersey (April 18), lost matches at singles (0-6, 1-6) and at doubles (0-8)…Dropped singles (1-6, 3-6) and doubles (2-8) matches against Stockton (April 22) during the regular season before losing in doubles (3-8) to Stockton again in the New Jersey Athletic Conference semifinals (May 6).

Tennis Fall 2019: Earned her second Rutgers-Camden tennis letter, but did not compete in any intercollegiate matches.
 
Tennis Spring 2019: Appeared in two matches, going 0-1 in singles and 0-1 in doubles…Made her collegiate debut at sixth singles against Penn State-Abington (April 6), dropping an 8-3 decision…Played her first doubles match at the second flight, teaming with LeAnne Hall in an 8-5 loss against Yeshiva (April 14).
 
Tennis Fall 2018: Was a member of the women’s tennis program, but did not compete in any matches.
 
High School: Tennis letterwinner for Coach James Montgomery at Woodrow Wilson High School…Earned team MVP, Coaches Award and Most Outstanding Player in tennis…Honor Roll…National Honor Society…Perfect attendance…Best in Physical Education award…Named Most Athletic Female for the class of 2018…Ranked fourth in high school class.
