Jayde Sue Silva had the best record on the Scarlet Raptors during the 2023-24 tennis season, posting a 13-6 singles mark and 10-7 doubles record in her first year with the tennis program. She also earned numerous academic honors. She continued her success during the 2024 fall semester, posting an overall 9-5 record before graduating in December.
In three semesters, Silva posted 32 career wins (14th on the all-time list), including 18 in singles (tied for 13th) and 14 in doubles (tied for 14th).

Tennis Fall 2024: Posted a 5-2 record at third singles and 4-3 mark in doubles (0-1 at first doubles with Ashton Sirko and 4-2 at second doubles, including 2-2 with Sirko and 2-0 with Bella Martinez)…Earned a 6-2, 6-2 win in singles and dropped a close 6-7 (7-9) decision in doubles with Sirko against DeSales (Sept. 7)…Swept Penn State-Brandywine in singles (6-0, 6-0) and doubles with Sirko (6-0) on Sept. 20…Facing Division II Kutztown (Sept. 21), lost in singles (0-6, 0-6) and doubles (1-6)…Defeated SUNY-Delhi (Sept. 22) in singles (6-2, 6-0) and doubles (6-1)…Posted a 6-1, 6-1 singles victory and lost at first doubles with Sirko, 3-6. at Wilkes (Oct. 5)…After posting a 7-6 (703) win at doubles with Martinez, lost in singles (7-8, retired) in a match against Lehman (Oct. 14)…Closed the season with a pair of wins at Eastern (Oct. 19), winning in singles (6-2, 6-1) and in doubles with Martinez (6-3).
Tennis Spring 2024: Posted a 10-4 record in singles during the spring season (4-2 at second singles and 3-1 at both third and fourth singles)…Went 9-6 in doubles during the spring semester (2-2 at second doubles and 7-4 at third doubles), combining with Bella Martinez in every match…Opened the spring season at fourth singles, posting wins over Eastern (March 22, 6-1, 6-2), Cedar Crest (March 29, 6-0, 6-0) and Arcadia (March 30, 6-2), while losing only to 35th-ranked The College of New Jersey (March 24, 0-6, 0-6)…Played second and third singles the rest of the season, including second-singles wins over Elizabethtown (April 7, 6-2, 6-2), a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 win at Neumann (April 12), William Paterson (April 17, 6-0, 6-0) and Ramapo (April 20, 6-1, 6-3)…Lone losses at second singles came in a 6-3, 5-7, 4-10 marathon at Kean (April 5) and against Oneonta (April 19, 4-6, 2-6)…Posted wins at third singles against Bryn Athyn (April 1, 8-0), Notre Dame (April 6, 6-2, 6-0) and King’s (April 7, 7-5, 6-4), while suffering her lone defeat at the third flight against Stockton (April 13, 1-6, 0-6)…Earned an 8-7 (7-4) win at King’s (April 7) and an 8-1 victory over William Paterson (April 17) in second doubles…Her losses at second doubles both came against nationally-ranked TCNJ by 0-8 scores (March 24 and in the NJAC playoffs April 24)…Wins at third doubles came against Eastern (March 22, 8-3), Cedar Crest (March 29, 8-4) Arcadia (March 30, 8-6), Bryn Athyn (April 1, 8-0), Kean (April 5, 8-1) Notre Dame (April 6, 8-0) and SUNY-Oneonta (April 19, 8-6)…Lost at third doubles against Elizabethtown (April 7, 6-8), Neumann (April 12, 2-8), Stockton (April 13, 4-8) and Ramapo (April 20, 5-8).
Tennis Fall 2023: Earned a pair of wins in her collegiate tennis debut, posting a 6-0, 6-0 victory at fourth singles and an 8-0 win at second doubles with Ashton Sirko at Penn State-Brandywine (Sept. 17)…Dropped a match at third singles (1-6, 0-6) and at second doubles with Sirko (0-8) at Bryn Mawr (Sept. 22)…Played three singles matches in the D flight at the Goucher Invitational, losing against Gettysburg (4-2, 1-4, 6-10) and beating two different players from Stevenson (4-1, 4-1 and 4-1, 4-0).
