Sophia LaPorta has captured three letters with the volleyball program, competed during three outdoor track seasons and added two indoor track campaigns at Rutgers-Camden. In 78 career volleyball matches, she had collected 268 digs for an average of 1.55 per set. She also has established an outstanding academic record with numerous honors and semesters with a 4.0 GPA.

Outdoor Track 2025: Competed in four outdoor meets…At the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 22), finished 26th of 29 in the 100-meter dash (15.49) and 13th of 16 in the long jump (4.17 meters)…Set a PR of 14.23 and finished 58th of 92 in the 100-meter dash at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 29)…At the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 19), placed 58th of 68 in the 100-meter dash (14.93) and 42nd of 45 in the long jump (4.19 meters)…Closed her season at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 3) by finishing 18th of 19 in the long jump (4.17 meters).

Indoor Track 2024-25: Competed in two winter meets, finishing 21st of 23 in the long jump (4.02 meters) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 8) and placing 12th of 15 in the long jump (a PR of 4.19 meters) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 22).

Volleyball 2024: Competed in 54 sets over 25 matches…Finished sixth on the team with 114 digs and fourth with 2.11 digs per set…Added 15 service aces (seventh on the team), five assists and three kills…Collected her high of 13 digs against Elizabethtown (Nov. 10)…Had 12 digs against Ursinus (Sept. 17)…Also had 11 digs against Delaware Valley (Oct. 19) and 10 against DeSales (Aug. 31)…Collected two service aces in five matches, coming against Penn State-Brandywine (Sept. 8), Wilkes (Sept. 14), Washington College (Sept. 21), Kean (Oct. 3) and Hunter (Oct. 19).

Outdoor Track 2024: Competed at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 4-5), setting a PR of 4.33 meters in the long jump on the first day (finishing 12th of 16) and a PR of 55.80 with the 4x100 relay team (seventh of nine) on the second day.

Indoor Track 2023-24: Competed in the long jump at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 8), setting her PR of 4.26 meters to finish 26th of 32 athletes.

Volleyball 2023: Appeared in 26 matches and 66 sets…Fifth on the team with 111 digs…Added seven assists, three kills and two service aces…Had highs of nine digs against Clarkson (Sept. 2) and Penn State-Harrisburg (Sept. 16)…Collected her high of two assists, while adding three digs and one kill, in the second match of the Sept. 16 tri-match, coming against Wilkes…Had eight digs against Elizabethtown (Oct. 28).

Outdoor Track 2023: Competed in five meets in the long jump and also ran the 200-meter dash in three of them…Made her track debut at the Stockton Invitational (March 25), finishing 13th of 22 (4.20 meters) in the long jump…Finished 36th of 44 in the long jump (3.94 meters) at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 1)…Competed in both the long jump (3.73 meters, 26th of 29) and the 200-meter dash (31.13, 24th of 36) at the Osprey Open (April 8)…Also competed in both events at the Widener Invitational (April 22), placing 36th of 40 in the long jump (3.75 meters) and 68th of 78 at 200 meters (31.16)…Set a PR in both events at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 6), finishing 19th of 21 in the long jump (4.27 meters) and 29th of 33 at 200 meters (30.52).
