Rutgers-Camden Athletics

One of several first-year collegiate players on the Scarlet Raptors during the 2016 fall semester, Trinh Nguyen competed in all but one of the 10 Rutgers-Camden matches. She also earned a berth on the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters.
 
Nguyen returns for her second season this fall.
 
Tennis 2016-17: Posted a 2-16 overall record during her rookie season with the tennis program…Went 1-8 at singles, including 1-5 at fifth singles and 0-3 at sixth singles…Compiled a 1-8 record at third doubles, with an 0-6 mark teaming with Bryana Foxx-Parham and a 1-2 record with Millie Kipp…Made her collegiate debut at Immaculata University (Sept. 10), dropping a 6-0, 6-0 decision at fifth singles and losing 8-1 with Foxx-Parham at third doubles…After a tough 1-6, 6-4, 5-7 defeat at sixth singles against Cedar Crest College (Oct. 15), posted her first collegiate singles victory the next day with a 6-3, 6-4 win at fifth singles against Penn State-Brandywine…Notched her first overall collegiate win at third doubles in that Cedar Crest match Oct. 15, combining with Kipp for an 8-3 win.
