Biography
After working his way into the starting lineup midway through his freshman basketball season, Abby Bah played a big role in the most successful men’s basketball season at Rutgers-Camden since 2001-02. An intimidating presence in the low post, Bah not only blocked eight shots, but also shot .559 from the floor.
Before Bah returned to the court for his sophomore season this winter, he ran as a member of the Scarlet Raptors’ cross country team during the fall semester.
Cross Country 2015: Competed in a pair of 8K races, posting a time of 37:36.68 at the CTC Championships (Oct. 17) and finishing fourth on the Raptors and 33rd of 34 overall…Finished fifth on the team and 90th of 91 overall in a time of 43:05.00 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Oct. 31).
Basketball 2014-15: Played in all 26 games, starting 12…Started 12 of the Scarlet Raptors’ final 13 games…Averaged 3.3 points and 3.3 rebounds…Shot 38-for-68 (.559) from the floor and 10-for-26 (.385) from the foul line…Collected nine assists and 13 steals…Added eight blocked shots, with five of them coming in his last six games…Made his collegiate debut in the season opener against Immaculata University (Nov. 15), playing 18 minutes and collecting seven points and three rebounds, while shooting 3-for-6 from the floor and 1-for-2 from the foul line…Collected six rebounds, four points, one blocked shot and one steal against Arcadia University (Nov. 19)…Shot 3-for-3 from the floor on his way to scoring seven points against Kean University (Dec. 6), while adding five rebounds…Grabbed five rebounds against Susquehanna University (Dec. 29)…Made first career start against Lehman College (Jan. 12), collecting three rebounds…Started against New Jersey City University (Jan. 14) and collected five rebounds, two points and one steal, while adding two assists to set a career high…Notched five points, aided by 3-for-3 shooting from the foul line, five rebounds and one assist against Ramapo College (Jan. 17)…Set his career high of seven rebounds, while adding four points against The College of New Jersey (Jan. 21)…Tied his rebounding high of seven, while adding seven points, one steal and one assist against Rowan University (Jan. 29)…Shot 3-for-3 from the floor and scored six points, while adding two rebounds, one steal and a career high-tying two assists against Kean University (Jan. 31)…Grabbed six boards, added six points and one steal and set a career high with two blocked shots against national power Stockton University (Feb. 4)…Had five rebounds, four points, two steals, one block and one assist against Montclair State University (Feb. 7)…Tied his career high of two blocks, while adding two points and one steal against Rutgers University-Newark (Feb. 11)…Closed the regular season with a career-high eight points, while adding four rebounds against New Jersey City University (Feb. 18), shooting 4-for-6 from the floor…In the first post-season game in the program’s NCAA history, had a career-high three steals, while adding three rebounds against New York University (March 4) in the ECAC tournament.
