Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Avery Ang has had an outstanding collegiate career, both on the volleyball court and in the classroom, during her two seasons at Rutgers-Camden. Since transferring from Medaille University, where she played her freshman season, Ang has hiked her total collegiate assist output to 1,013, while compiling a stellar academic record. She has appeared in 34 matches at Rutgers-Camden after playing in 29 matches as a freshman at Medaille.
 
Ang has 561 assists in her two seasons at Rutgers-Camden, ranking eighth on the program’s career list. She is seventh on the career list with 4.52 assists per set.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2024-25 scholastic year…Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and a Dean’s List student for the 2023 Fall, 2024 Spring, 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters…One of only 22 athletes on the 151-member 2023 Fall AD Honor Roll to post a perfect 4.0 GPA…One of only 30 athletes on the 138-member 2024 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
Volleyball 2024: Appeared in all 26 matches and 97 sets for the Scarlet Raptors…Led the team with 418 assists, the 14th-highest single-season mark in program history…Collected 201 digs to finish third on the team…Added 14 kills, 18 aces and three assisted blocks…Collected a team-high seven double-doubles with assists and digs, coming against DeSales (Aug. 31, 23 assists/11 digs), Immaculata (Sept. 12, 18 assists/12 digs), Penn State-Harrisburg (Sept. 14, 17 assists, 10 digs), Ursinus (Sept. 17, 24 assists/14 digs), Eastern Mennonite (Sept. 21, 16 assists, 13 digs), Montclair State (Oct. 9, 17 assists, 10 digs) and Rowan (Oct. 24, 17 assists, 15 digs)…Collected double-digit assists in 21 of her 26 matches, including nine matches of 20 or more…Had a high of three aces against Ursinus (Sept. 17) and a high of six kills against Elizabethtown (Nov. 10)…Had two of her three block assists against Arcadia (Sept. 28).
 
Volleyball 2023: Played in eight matches and 27 sets…Produced 143 assists for a team-leading 5.30 assists per set, currently the fifth-highest career assists/set in program history among all players with the minimum of 100 assists…Added 46 digs, seven aces and one kill…Had a pair of double-doubles with assists and digs…Made her Rutgers-Camden debut at Montclair State (Oct. 17), playing two sets and collecting 11 assists and one dig…Had her high of 33 assists in a five-set match at Gwynedd Mercy (Oct. 25), while adding six digs and one ace…Notched back-to-back double-doubles against Wilkes (Oct. 28) and Stockton (Oct. 31), collecting 10 digs in both matches, while adding 29 assists against Wilkes and 19 against Stockton…Had her high of three aces against Elizabethtown (Oct. 28).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played in all 29 matches and 106 sets during the final volleyball season at Medaille University in 2022…Led the team with 452 assists (4.26 per set)…Finished third on the team with 297 digs and fourth in kills (95), service aces (28) and blocks (19, including five solo)…Collected 24 matches with double-digit assists, including 26 assists in back-to-back matches against Elmira (Sept. 30) and Alfred (Oct. 1)…Had 14 matches with double-digit digs, including a high of 22 against Utica (Oct. 15)…Had 13 double-doubles between assists and digs, and added another double-double with assists and kills, missing a triple-double by one dig…Notched 10 kills and a .267 hitting percentage against SUNY-Canton (Sept. 16)…Named the Empire 8 Athletic Conference Sportswoman of the Year…Empire 8 Presidential List.
 
High School: Volleyball team MVP for all four years at Ashbury College in Ottawa.
